I'm not a doctor, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night, but I think the best case scenario is probably 2nd Eagles game for a return. Worst case obviously is out for the season, which no one has even mentioned, but I could see this thing taking until after Thanksgiving to be right, say the 1st Skins game.

Sucks, but them's the breaks. Every team suffers injuries. You never play with the team you have on paper, next man up.

I was thinking about Hakeem Nicks last night and came to the realization that even If Dez does return, he will not be close to the same player he once was. We need to seriously consider parting ways with him after this season to save on that guaranteed money we will owe him in March.
Darn injuries. Oh well. it was fun while it lasted.

This is one of those horrible times for some fans. Either you're not a doctor or you're a doctor with zero access to the player's medical records. So you diagnose without intimate knowledge of the actual case. Then you fret and sweat over details you don't have and tie yourself in knots. You end up stuck in ****** mode.

Meanwhile, the team deals with the circumstances of the player's injury and the season goes on, so thankfully there's that.

Hakeem Nicks was well on his way to becoming a top 5 WR in the NFL before he suffered the same injury Dez has. I know most people aren't concerned with this injury but after doing more research about it I am more concerned than ever

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 4h4 hours ago
ESPN's Dr. Mark Adickes said 4-6 weeks was an aggressive timeframe, and a more likely timeframe for Dez Bryant's recovery is 8-12 weeks.

When Hakeem Nicks broke fifth metatarsal in his right foot in May 2012, initial timetable from Giants for recovery: 12 weeks. #Dez

This has agenda written all over it.

Dez will be back this year fellas, in my opinion.

Let's take a look at this when the bye gets here. It will be atleast that long.

Demarcus Lawrence broke his foot and could have been good to go after just 6 weeks. I'm not sure if it is the same exact injury to Bryant's but I have a hard time comparing Dez to some of the guys he is being compared to in this thread.

Dez has too much dog in him to sit out over some minor pain. If that foot heals up to even close to him being a go, he'll go and he'll be a beast.

In the PC Garrett didn't seem to know what they the reporter was talking about when asked if he knew if it was a Jones fracture. He said that he did not. Jerry (Fan radio interview) also said he didn't know what a Jones fracture was.

IS IT A JONES FRACTURE? -- "Well, I don't even know what a Jones fracture is."

"If we name something that is broke or has had to be fixed before, call it Jones."

Every injury is different and every players recovery is different. Correlation is not causation. For example, Tony Romo took the SAT and was brilliant Sunday night. Eli Manning took the SAT and .....
