Hard Knocks: Favorite Scenes from Part 3 *Merge*

Relabeling him wouldn't make it easier as a roster spot is a roster spot. The actual label means nothing providing you have enough backups in case of injury. Four runningbacks (even if you label all but one a kicker) is still four running backs and one less positional player somewhere else.

Since we don't have a real backup to Cricket and teams usually don't keep 4 tb's to me it seems logical to say he's a fb if you don't think he'll make it to the PS. Sure it's semantics but at least you keep him on the roster.

This is true, between TEs and FBs you usually keep 5 players (three of one and two of the other) Where I think the issue will come in is the fact that they are going to use Felix and Barber at the same time. (Barber will become the second FB when their playing together) Choice will backup both Felix and Barber. I believe they want that other spot to hang on to a WR, CB, or third QB.

I just don't think they want to hang on to a 4th RB all things considered.

Things I remember that left an impression.

  • A coach (not sure who) saying "He has been a bum since he got here and he was a bum last night" He was refering someones play in the Chargers game, the question is who? Bennett?

I believe that was Reggie Herring linebackers coach. It makes you wonder if it was Carp

Observations:

-- Ray Sherman is an impressive coach. He has a presence about him and a wise, authoritative way of dispensing instructions, criticsim or praise. He's not demeaning, but you know there's no bs with him. He's very clear. He can coach anyone from a high-maintenance superstar like Owens to a guy like Lowber. In between, he's done a nice job with Hurd and Austin. Sherman doesn't come off like a weak-kneed doofus, which is more than I can say for a couple of other coaches. He's impressive.

-- I agree with Spectre. Roy's antics and dialogue comes off as forced and silly ... like he's playing for the cameras.

-- Hard Knocks has way too much Campo in it. Everytime I see him, I still can't believe he was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Oh, and Dave, you might want to get your orange/lime green hair dye out because your gray roots are showing. And like someone else posted, I'm so glad Wade didn't climb into the hot tub with him.

-- I wished Hard Knocks wouldn't edit the coaches' meetings so tightly. When they're talking about these players, I want to know specifically who they're talking about. Every week, we hear Campo talk about "Pac," but I'm interested to know who Herring was bashing.

Its definitely not carp. Carp didnt just get here. Its a first year player.

its most likely one of the undrafted guys.

The only allow that stuff bc the leave the names out.

That meeting was less than a week ago, the bum in question is still on the team

........I think the running is always TO. Thats the one thing I dont like, the staged running. Athough Roys impression was amazing

The skin tone was too light to be TO plus he would have mugged to the camera. :D

It is funny no one mentioned him prior to mentioning KB.

Also did anyone else wish Jerry and King would stop eating popcorn in their meeting? You couldn't hear anything they said.

This is probably done to protect the innocent.

I think the LBs coach was talking about Darrell Robertson. The guy was considered a 4th round talent according to their scouts but wasn't drafted because of injury. The guy hasn't done anything to stand out so far.

That was disgusting.

Peter was so into it that his hands were shaking.

and somehow everyone wants to get rid of johnson and make bartel the number 2 guy

Whomever was running was stupid. Running up a hill with lose sand and rocks. Easy way to twist an ankle.

That was a very awkward scene. What was the point? Get your popcorn ready? Hey everybody, Peter King is in Jerry's office? They were talking with their mouths full. Then right before they left the office, the bucket of popcorn looked empty, lol.
