I felt like tackling someone after the show. I'm ready to play a game after that. Great show. Did anyone find it a little ackward to see Pac playing pranks and "welcoming" a rook to The Dallas Cowboys? Hey Pac.. you just got here yourself... and you have that reinstatement thing bud..

Yeah that thought crossed my mind but it was a good prank. :laugh2:

I guess it shows that him and also Tank have blended in well with the team. I thought it was cool that Ware was the one who set him up.

Defensive guys pulling pranks on offensive guys, I like how this is a team and not divided by different groups (O & D-fense). Wade has done a good job of mixing it up, ex. remember changing up the lockers last year.

It was riveting. Very well done.

One of my favorite parts - watching Owens and Adams Jones match up at full speed. Remarkable athleticism readily apparent.

He's at freaking training camp interacting with the other players. What do you want him to do, go to practice and then back to his room afterwards and then come out for practice again and then go back to his room again. I guess he can stop being a human and just become a robot.

No what he is saying is that he just got to the team but he's hazing a rookie like he's a ten year vet.

No... I thought it was great man that he's bonding with the team. I guess I didn't really get my sarcasm across. I take no issue with it really. I thought it was fun and I think Pac is doing all the right things. Just kind of one of those after-thought type deals.

Basically. It's just the "welcome to the Cowboys" line that caught my attention. I thought it was a funny prank but it would have been more legit coming from a Newman, Owens, B. James.. etc. I guess I'm still a little ancy in terms of counting on Pac as a Cowboy. I'll feel a lot better when Godelle reinstates! For the record, I love the way Pac is fitting in with the team. I'm doing nothing more than nitpicking and discussing what stood out to me...

That's the thought that popped in my head over and over while watching the Hard Knocks opener.

One of Wade Phillips' favorite lines is that the Cowboys have "characters with character." That definitely came across in the show, especially in the behind-the-scenes stuff like Tank Johnson emceeing the rookie talent show and DeMarcus Ware setting up Felix Jones for a wet welcome from Adam "Pacman" Jones. Funniest/most disturbing moment of the show: DB coach Dave Campo getting a butt-naked pantsing.

This is a team with a ton of talent that truly enjoys being around each other. That's guaranteed to make for great TV, and it ought to result in a special season.

Much more to come about the show in the morning.

I agree. The welcome to the Cowboys part is what got to me also. I'll stop nitpicking also.

I was hopin' they'd show more of the drills.

It didn't seem like I was watching a training camp documentary. It was more like the plot buildup in a highschool football movie, lol.

I read most of the thread, and I don't think anyone mentioned my favorite part. Lattimore was going up the steps with his food, and trips up....that had me rolling for a few minutes...:laugh2:

the only thing I can say about Bennett is, hopefully Tony Curtis is ready to step up and be the #2 tight end.

I chuckled at that, too. Especially the lead in by the narrator.

I found it interesting they got Ray Lewis on camera too. I wonder if they follow him around, too.

BTW, :welcome:

Loved the show.

Thoughts:

-- My favorite parts were the ones where Jerry was doing business. We laugh about how he hesitates when he talks, but he was very terse, abrupt and to the point when telling Terry Glenn's agent he was waiving him. I wished the war room clip of the Felix Jones pick would have been longer. When Garrett said Mendenhall is an every-down back and "we already have one of those," then mentioned Felix's special ability, you could see Jerry's eyes light up and when he said, "Let's take Jones," he couldn't hold back his enthusiasm.

-- The banana microphones and the singing and laughing was fun to watch. That, along with Adam dowsing Felix with water showed a lot of the camaraderie on this team.

-- Lattimore falling with his food was hilarious. It's always funny when someone falls, but when you're carrying your dinner, it's even better.

-- Jason Witten makes a great impression in everything he does, whether it's being a dad, or setting an example on the field. That guy is priceless.

-- The DBs pulling Campo's pants down was funny and sad at the same time. I still can't believe that guy was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Imagine players trying to pull Landry's shorts down. Campo, and Wade for that matter, sure don't instill a sense of awe.

-- I thought Jason Garrett was very good, but I thought John Garrett was too easy on Bennett. Coaching that guy must be maddening. Ciskowski (I think) mentioned this in the war room on draft day. Curious pick that looks even more questionable now.

-- Stephen Jones telling Felix's agent, "I was beginning to think I was negotiating with myself," and later telling him, "No, we want him on a plane as soon as possible, the red-eye or whatever."

-- Jerry telling the team the "five most important things" about business.

Loved it. I burned it to DVD and took it to work and watched it with a group of Cowboys fans and we all were in heaven for an hour. HATED to see it end.

-I was surprised actually at the dialogue between Jerry and Glenn's agent...Jerry can be very frank when he wants to be.

-Barber's block got the room excited and ready for football season.
-I can't wait for Red Ball to be the head coach of this team.

-on a funny note, I have attented Texan's training camp and comparing it to the Cowboys on Hard knocks was a riot. The talent level difference is clear.

Just the fact they gave Reeves a fat contract says it all :laugh2:
