Jones already spoke about this. He said the Cowboys don't talk about internal matters.

Which means it happened.

really?

no. it means you want it to be true so you can justify your hate.

Garrett presser when asked about greg hardy late incident (paraphrasing): " the team holds certain standards and when a player doesnt meet those standards we address it in house."

when asked if the players still have respect for hardy he said yes.

when asked if hardy has worn out his welcome he said no

Just further proof JG has lost the locker room. The season is over, I would just cut the guy and move on. He has been invisible on the field the last few weeks as well.

Unfortunately I think this sums up what really is ailing the Cowboys. Hardy is just a subset of the real problem that is going on with this organization - and it starts with the coach.

This is a sign that the coach has lost total control of its players. That the players doesn't believe in the coaches philosophy of what the team is all about and no rah, rah motivational speech will ever change that.

Thats the problem with Garrett. He gives a good motivational speech and get everyone feeling good and fired up. But its only superficial and it doesn't last long to make an impact.

When your teams starts losing that same rah rah speech thing isn't going to cut it. Players will start to question why we keep losing and want answers. They will feed off the negativity from the media and start giving answers to why things are going downhill. Thus this is whats going on right now with the Cowboys lockerroom.

Thus Hardy maybe a headache to the organization right now. But thats really just a fraction on whats really ailing this organization. This organization just doesn't know how to win. They are used to losing and I don't think some players can't take that. Thus your seeing alot of outburst from players - not only Hardy.

Credibility to us has zero implications on the field. Fans REALLY need to get over themselves. We don't matter to the outcome.

N, but Garret's credibility mattes to his team. The players see Hardy getting away with whatever he does, and Garrett doesn't do a thing about it, it affects the team. So yeah get over yourself!

heres the thing and they talked about it on the radio. by all accounts the players dont think hes a distraction in the locker room and hes not a cancer or a problem in the locker room. they call him one of the hardest workers on the team. however the media hates this dude so much and want him gone they are locking in to every little thing that he does and asking anyone associated with the team about it more than anything else and that is becoming a distraction to this team. if we start winning i think the media scrutiny with hardy dies down but right now since we are losing the bad is just being piled on because there is no good to talk about.

with all that said hardy has got to be A LOT smarter about being on his best behavior and not giving them anymore ammunition

Sure and you don't get to speak to what they make of it. NFL athletes are completely unlike you or me.

You are projecting yourself onto them thus me saying get over yourself as you don't matter as to what actually happens. The 'I know you are but what am I' routine was cute though.

Sultan....I agree with your premise. The problem is....were you also in the news for a very highly publicized domestic violence case? Were you involved in a shouting match at work with one of your superiors? Isolated incidents are generally forgiven and everyone moves on. When there is a pattern of problems, the heat intensifies.

I get what you're saying.

But, it's not a pattern of behavior with Hardy. It's one incident that is brought up time and again by the media. Also, football is a completely different arena than a normal professional work environment. You have coaches cursing players and players cursing players going at each other emotionally and physically at ninety miles an hour on the practice and playing fields. Everything is magnified with him because the media can do that. They have the power and the "past incident" which gives them an excuse to regurgitate it over and over again. Frankly, I'm tired of it. It's insincere tabloid nonsense masked as journalism. By all accounts, he's not a TO, and his problems aren't with the team. They are with the media.

He was late for work. That's it. One time since the season started. Do we need another vacuous article giving these airheads another opportunity to rag on the guy?

Jimmy and Parcells had rules for some players and a different set of rules for others. Not saying that JG is in the same stratosphere, but Jerry might have set the rules.

That's the old 'bring Troy a pillow' argument. It's probably what went on here, too.

I know it's PFT, but still.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-was-late-for-work-missed-meetings-last-week/

I'm starting to wonder if we're just going to let him walk in the offseason. He's talented as hell, but even with what he does on the field (which was a whole lot of nothing this week), it makes me wonder that with all the negative stuff he does that he isn't just a zero sum player in the end.

Dont blame Jerra. Who knew a woman beater would be a problem for us?

Dez is overly sensitive to what the media says about him, but they're not even comparable.

Hardy supposedly hit his girlfriend and didn't get away with it.
Dez supposedly hit his Mom (I guess most people conveniently forget that), and got away with it (for the most part.)
Not comparable huh? I guess because Dez went on to have good seasons after that all is forgiven by you?
Both (supposedly) hit women and both have anger issues with others.
I ,for one, see a comparison there.
