assuming he accepts the 4 games, just looking at the schedule:

Giants @ home = divisional game, giants always play us pretty tough at home. Push
@ Philly = another divisional game, stomped them last year in Philly, don't see why we can't do it again.. plus I think Chip Kelly is a farce. Win
Falcons @ home = Win
@ Saints = Loss

I'll take 2-2, possibly 3-1 depending on the Giants game with no Hardy and no McClain

I think those games are extremely unpredictable....especially 3 of them.
Both division games will be a dogfight, and New Orleans IN the Superdome (not at all comparable otherwise) is brutal for anyone.
Atlanta way underachieved last year, but I like that one the most.

So yeah, if you told me with no Hardy or Ro for those games that we'd still win 3, I'd say take it.

I think Hardy comes out with a massive chip on his shoulder in week 5. That's good for us and bad for the Golden boy (Brady)

I hope so but in reality he hasn't played in over a year. History shows us that players coming back from that long of a layoff struggle for a few games.

Definitely a start. Still needs to be 2 though.

Impossible. You're a TE named jwitten82. You may be able to catch BBs in the dark and if you said that, I'd probably believe you, but no way are you outrunning us. That's just not possible.

Both of you might be fast, but both of you are not as handsome as I am!

I'm sure they're saying 2 games for the guns and 2 games for the DV = 4 games.

With the 10 games, the NFL was saying he put his hands on her 4 times (2 games each = 8), and had the guns (2 more games) to make 10.

On appeal, they said they shouldn't count him putting his hands on her as 4 separate incidents, and that it should be seen as 1 incident. So that would be 2 games. Then, 2 more for the guns = 4

That is my guess anyway.

I bet your right on this. In my opinion the guns should not be considered at all unless there was something illegal about them in the state.

Why would the possession of the firearms warrant a suspension? Is there something in the CBA that makes it so?

How many people here would be 'happy' to get 1/4 of their salary docked for something some nutcase said you supposedly did? And then the nutcase tells you she will kindly remain silent and disappear if you give her a pile of money. All the while, you did nothing from the beginning.

So, yeah, I would fight even the 2 game suspension. If I am Hardy, I want a zero game suspension and a full apology from the NFL. And I want damages.

Hardy should keep all his options open. 2.4m in game checks and another 1.8m in incentives is worth the fight.

If he sues in Federal Court he could have his case rolled into the Doty appeal. He was already cited in the contempt of court motion that was filed and will be heard on Aug 13th.

Possible downsides include not being reinstated from the Commissioner's Exempt List and having to miss the 4 games later in the season.

But if he appeals and gets hurt he could drop his appeal instantly and miss games he would have missed already.

Still a lot of moving parts. I would want clarification on the Commissioner's List before doing anything.

I would try to negotiate a deal that back dated the suspension to last year and just pay back 4 game checks or 3m. That would be in exchange for dropping any appeal and being reinstated immediately.

According to Holder, she was thrown on a futon full of guns and was scared for her life.

He probably pushed her away to stop her from hitting him with her shoe and she landed on the futon. The weapons should be irrelevant unless they were brandished.

The best part of this is I am FINALLY excited about the Hardy signing. I was pleased when he signed but unsettled until I saw his suspension. Once the suspension hit, it is hard to get excited about 6 games so I just waited for the appeal process which took way too long. Now, I am finally excited that we will get 12 games from a premier pass rusher in his prime! Hopefully he earns a mega second contract with us.
