Has any great QB had a crueler run than Tony Romo?

What Jerry's done to Romo should be prosecuted as criminal. His contract is more of a court settlement than a salary.
I'll never forget when Jerry Jones rationalized that he could get away with not investing in the O-line because of Romo's elusiveness behind center. I don't think I've ever been as pissed off reading a comment from Jerry in my life. The mindset shortened his career and robbed him of several shots at a championship. I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to the front office but that's one I'll never forgive.

Jerry is to football what Kim Jong-un is to world peace.

don't think you're a minority in thinking Romo is a better QB than Dak. I think though, many, including myself, see Dak as the better QB option at this point and for this offense. His ability to run, extend plays, etc. brings a dimension that is no longer part of Romo's game and a huge part of our game plans in keeping opposing dfenses off guard.
That nifty lucky whitehead wrinkle helps keep lb's away from the los until after the snap too

It's all coming together we rebuilt for a few years but now we're ready. I've put my life into this. I've bleed with these guys. Uhp whoops my back just broke bye guys I gotta go figure the rest of my life out now ive only been been proving the haters wrong my entire life and looks like they get the last laugh

You guys are being ridiculous. He and all of you will learn the hard way when he's traded to another team how "Romo Friendly" the Cowboys were towards him.

No, he's given it his best shot, for so many years, he has earned his contract, no dispute there, and yes, he would like to be out there playing. But, the reality of the situation is that his body is fragile and he is not as elusive as he used to be. For God sakes, take the money, finish up the best that you can, and go home to your family before you get hurt again.

Danny White
yea, danny had to put up with a LOT also. i remember when he got pulled for a young buck and when that project failed miserably and we were down by a LOT, landry went to put him in for pretty much a hopeless situation.

lost too many brain cells over the years, anyone remember that game when white came in for clean up duty in a hopelessly lost game?

Forgot the game but remember the situation. It was then, actually, that I knew it would be a while before we were good again. Felt like a rudderless ship

I agree with the decision to stick with Dak, but I don't see how anyone could argue that he is a better QB physically, technically or mentally than Romo. As I've stated throughout the season, there's simply no valid argument IMO when you're comparing a rookie to a 10+ year vet who has mostly been at an elite level throughout. The team made the decision to stick with Dak for reasons other than an individual skill comparison.

That's about where I'm at. I agree with keeping Dak as the starter, but if this was an open QB competition he wouldn't be and that's truly not a slight to Dak at all.

From what I've heard Dandy Don Meredith used to get beat down a lot in games.
Dallas is a winners market.

They would have built statues for Romo in places like Detroit where he would have been their greatest . But not here. Not without a championship. Very tough fans.

Going with Dak is like dating the new hot girl on campus. She's new and exciting but once the tease wears off without satisfaction you'll be looking to go back.
