Hate to say it, but looks like Jeanty has a excellent chance to become a Cowboy!

It’s hard man. The Cowboys get the 15th pick and draft a Marcus Spears career type of tackle over Jeanty it won’t go over well for the Cowboys. This draft appears to be below average talent wise. The defensive tackles and pass rushers could be elite though.
Just draft the other good player that falls…we don’t have to reach for an OT.

Rico has earned the right to stay IMO. Draft another RB somewhat early to give us more juice but our roster has too many holes to take a RB in the top 15.

I actually pray another team drafts Jeanty before the Cowboys.

Jeanty is a great player and will be a very good pro. However, drafting a RB, a pretty fungible piece of the offense, at or near the top of the 1st round is just not a sound strategy.

I am done man that loss last night was a kick in the nuts. Those boys played hard. Overshown’s injury was brutal. Two ACL injuries in two seasons at linebacker. Nobody comes back from that.

Dowdle and a 3rd round pick would suffice at running back if the coach would stick with the run.

Yeah Dowdle has eased the need to take a RB in the first 2 rounds IMO, DT and WR tops my list at this point.

If they don't get Jeanty, it kind of paints them into a corner on their 2nd pick and it wouldn't surprise me if they miss out on the next 2 backs. In my opinion, they need to draft a top back not the 4th or 5th back in the draft.

The DeMo injury really hurt…he seemed to be turning into a stud.

Each L moving forward is a better draft slot though!

I don’t think we have Super Bowl talent but I believe we have similar talent to the Steelers who are currently fighting for a 1 seed. I hate the way Jerry builds a team but he has reason to expect more from this coaching staff.

100% with you with the draft position especially in the 2nd/3rd rounds.

Earned the right? He did it the last two weeks against two of the worst defenses.
1000%.

“#Cowboys Rico Dowdle since Week 13 among all NFL running backs (min 20% of carries):

- 40 attempts (4th)
- 243 rushing yards (1st)
- 6.1 yards per carry (6th)
- 183 yards after contact (1st)
- 10 forced missed tackles (4th)
- 9 carries of 10+ yards (1st)”

Yes, it’s been against a few sub par teams but keep in mind he’s been running behind backup OLmen and a backup QB that is completely incapable of throwing the ball down the field.

It’s b
He could have done more early in the year if they would have given him more carries.
He was around 40% to start the year and now is around 70%.

He’s going to hit 1000 yards only being the full time starter for like half the season.

He is played well down the stretch, but did virtually nothing prior to that outside the steeler game. Sure, he had to share some carries but he was below average. A running back with just 1 rushing td is replaceable

It wasn't his fault that they wasted time and hurt the team with Zeke out there.

I don’t think it’s fair to knock him bc he wasn’t getting enough opportunities earlier in the year and he’s clearly gotten better. Also measuring a RB by TDs seems like a poor way to eval IMO.

Red zone offense killed this team all season long cause their inability to run the football. We see it differently, but I want to overhaul the entire position this offseason.
