You can continue to lie about my stance on players if you like. I would too if I was as wrong as you.

It's rich seeing a guy who thought Phil Costa could play calling me silly.

Two legs good! Four legs bad.

I can't get worked up this year over free agency. In my experience, if you're not a contender going into free agency, you aren't one coming out no matter what you do. Free agency is a way of augmenting what you already have.

I don't understand why people want Dallas to over pay for Melton. The guy can still get suspended for his off the field accidents. He is coming off a ACL injury and doesn't seem like he takes football that serious.
He's taking in the Hatcher cross country tour jumping form team to team to see who will give him the highest deal possible.
This guy isn't going to come cheap and doubt he takes a pay cut to play here. If he was going to come cheap he would have already signed with Minny or Seattle. Only way I would loike to get him in Dallas is on a 1 year prove it deal. He played his best under Marinelli and may want to show he is healthy and the off the field issues are behind him. With one solid year he can make big money next year. But I wouldn't over pay for a guy like Melton who seems to just be looking for the highest payday so he can go drink and drive and bite bar owners.

Re lying about your earlier stance on Jason Hatcher:

Where am I missing your evaluation of him being anything but wrong? Or was it Bernardeau I'm supposed to have been lying about?

Agreed.

And we know that most of the players that have signed these first-week free agency contracts aren't going to meet expectations. It's just how it works.

Well, we had the money to pay both Peppers and Melton then Peppers signed with Green Bay so I can see us signing just Melton

3 yr/ 30 mil with 7.5 guaranteed for Peppers sounds like a reach for the Cowboys with Melton as well...8.5 mil first year looks like...

Yeah, that's pretty consistent with what I've said. He was an average player and he blossomed late in his career. I even started a thread about how weird his career trajectory has gone.

If you knew he was capable of 11 sacks in a year, kindly point me to where you mentioned that prior to last year. Show me where anyone said it.

BTW, I still do want better than Hatcher with the Crawford pick. Hatcher spent half of his career in Dallas as a non entity.

Bernadeau is a spare part. A valuable C/G backup but a complete and total JAG as a starter.

I like that he's here. Because he kicked that waste of space you thought could play Phil Costa off the roster.

RS is melancholy because Costa was indeed wanted by another team and was signed to a multi-year contract which helps prove his value as an NFL player.

That'll be all you have, homer. You'll never have that he played well on the field.

It'll be like the cornerback debates. Well they pay them well so they must know. Except the on field production never supports your highly intelligent theory.

Weak sauce, Risen. Your posts speak for themselves, and I was not lying when I pointed it out.

Yes, you were lying. You're not capable of winning a debate with me on this team because you are a consistent supporter of anything the Cowboys do.

20 years ago that would have made you a genius. Now it makes you something else.

There is no rehab. You'll always be the guy who thought Phil Costa could play to me.

You sound bitter mate. ;)

Really dude... I think you need a forum break. You've too worked up about this stuff.
