Guys, we're arguing about our 3rd string QB.

It's really sad when it comes down to this.

Reminds me of peeps arguing over Anthony Wright and that other kid from Arkansas. I fugget his name. You guys argued incessantly over the 4th string QB.

I'm dumbfounded ... or maybe just dumb.

I agree with you. My main source of disbelief was all the Mroz nut hugging.

P.S. Clint Stoerner was his name I believe..

like junk said - some people already hate henson, so ANY CURRENT FLAVOR will be better and they'll pull for him just so NOT to pull for henson.

That has to be it Ice, but even then, the word irrational comes to mind.

well, i'm not always rational about how i feel about bp and/or bledsoe, so while i can see the "angst" i also at least work to recognize *my own* issues and try to seperate them out.

Why is it Henson that has to go? What has Romo done to solidify a spot on the team? I mean, if your so positive we need to cut someone loose to bring in a vet back-up, why not keep the guy with more upside as the 3rd string developmental guy?

He hasn't sucked.

Another Henson must go thread ? Who has time to read through all of the pages...sheesh.

I ask myself what are these people afraid of ? I mean why preach he must be cut now, before we even see how his NFLE experience translates into TC and pre-season.

NEWS FLASH....He will be in TC and pre-season.

BP said he has seen an improvement. Hopefully Romo will have improved also, although there has been no comment on that from VR. Unless some think he's locked in as number 2 guy and ready to go right now (You know who you are). All I've heard about Romo again this off-season are the cuts his miss's in golf.

Are they afraid Henson will do well and make themselves look bad ? Or maybe he might do well and have others look good in fortelling this, which might bother some ???

When Eatman is named HC of the Cowboys I will take his opinion with more than a grain of salt. Since that is likely to never happen in this world or this lifetime, then I will accept what he says when he cites a credible source from within the organization. Until then I will presume it is another case of him pushing HIS boy Romo. Look at almost all of his writing to date, or listen to his webcasts and you will hear the same tired mantra of "Romo...Romo" from Nick. No different from many of us on this board who support and want to believe in Henson, except he actually writes his agenda on the teams official web-site.;)

From the same article written by Eatman.....

"Chances are, even a first-round pick would not have beaten out Bledsoe for the starting job. And a quarterback drafted in the second round would have had difficulty overtaking Romo and Henson for the backup spot. And remember, the Cowboys aren't ready to give up on either of those two just yet."

A mass exodus of two? The bus leaving is going to be a short one. Can you imagine those threads?

Day 1...

Guy 1: Why does Henson still have a roster spot? He's a waste.

Guy 2: I don't know bro.

Day 2...

Guy 1: Why does Henson still have a roster spot? He's a waste.

Guy 2: repost

I would really like to know what Romo has done to solidify his place on the roster other than playing Golf. This is a player that has NEVER thrown a NFL Game pass and he's our backup no question?

Henson isn't going anywhere until at least after training camp...If he can't beat out Romo for second string then we need to start looking elswhere...And I'm a Huge Henson fan.

Henson needs to beat out Romo this year or he's in trouble with the Cowboys...Imo.

The Answer got a chance to watch Romo in action last summer in Oxnard and he was very impressive. He is a natural leader in the huddle, and his deep ball is masterful. This young Italian Stallion has moxy and The Answer likes it.

As for Henson, you could tell that he just didn't 'fit in' last summer. And now with Jeff Mroz in the mix it's going to be very difficult task for Henson as he tries to salvage his NFL career. He's in danger of busting in TWO professional sports leagues....that's not a good thing.

I'll admit Henson didn't impress last year and Romo was Better...But now Henson has some meaningful playing time and it showed.

But he needs to step it up this year no question.
