Henson-Its time to go

I think he meant the UT Defense. Yeah but they didnt show up except for a few big stops. I dont know how you guys can argue the fact that Vince Young pretty much won both of those rose bowl games by himself.

And yes the thread has been hijacked!!!

No USC defense was not a top ranked defense in the NCAA.

Luckily I was talking about the Longhorns defense being a top ranked D

Its easy to argue because he didn't win either game on his own

Because other players also made big plays in those games. As I said I give a lot of credit to Young he was the focal point of the offense but Texas had a lot of other guys making big plays as well. You take away his blocking and the running backs Texas has as well as a WR and TE and Young is not going to win jack. As important as Young was at Texas no one wins a football game alone, I will say without him chances are Texas does not win the big games they have had.

Sorry my mistake. I thought you were talking about the USC defense vs the Texas Offense.

LOL

If I recall the rules correctly, going from thread to thread to harrass a user is against the forum rules. So I would assume you have read these and are violating them anyway?

I don't know who Ben, or BannedinAustin were, but you are some sort of annoying.

Like Nors-lite 2.0.

I wish Henson would go so we can stop talking about him and begin the next battle between backups, whatever the position is.

What?

Uh, I was just saying that this issue was old.

And for someone who's supposed to be tired of this issue. He sure does fuel the fire a lot regarding it.

Also, it was more of a statement merely pointing out what is all ready obvious.

I see nothing that suggests I was harrassing anyone.

And other than your whining, which I find annoying and maybe even a tad bit harrassing - to me at least, I'm sure both parties involved weren't offended in the least ...

Agree, I like Young, have thought and still think he will be a superstar in NFL. But he is a work in progress, as if he is rushed to work in NFL, I think his likelhood of failing increases incrementally, vs him sitting on the bench and learning.

He has ways to go on his machanics etc. But you cannot deny the talent obviously and the intangibles he has, with how he came up in Big games.

Post after post from you, thread after thread, you say the same things to the same person. Everyone on here knows your agenda Ben. You are not here to bring anything of substance to the board. You never brought any substance on your other names, and you havent started yet. Your sole purpose here is to irrate people.

I'll admit Henson didn't impress last year and Romo was Better...But now Henson has some meaningful playing time and it showed.

But he needs to step it up this year no question.

HOW? i see everyone saying he needs to step it up, but if all he ever gets is practice, HOW can we know IF he steps it up? bp won't allow them to hit the field during a game, so all this "he must step it up!" is kinda pointless cause he won't be given a chance, so all the henson critics who think he must "step it up" i hope can tell me how he's supposed to do that if he's a

1) long term project
2) not allowed on the field if bledsoe is healthy

are we gonna continue to use training camp rhetoric to finish judging henson?

Well I wish the best for him but I have more doubts about his future in the NFL than I do with some of the other top QB's that were drafted.

Probably true. He has the boom or bust potential. If he gets it, he can be a HOF type of talent. But I guess at the same time he has the same Micheal Vick potential, i.e. good running QB, nothing else. I do think he is better at Passing than Micheal Vick though but at the same time, he doesn't have the speed of Micheal Vick, so he can't really run away from players like he did in college or run over players for that matter.

He does have the physical stature or ability to take hits better than Micheal Vick, I guess.

The Answer got a chance to watch Romo in action last summer in Oxnard and he was very impressive. He is a natural leader in the huddle, and his deep ball is masterful. This young Italian Stallion has moxy and The Answer likes it.

As for Henson, you could tell that he just didn't 'fit in' last summer. And now with Jeff Mroz in the mix it's going to be very difficult task for Henson as he tries to salvage his NFL career. He's in danger of busting in TWO professional sports leagues....that's not a good thing.

~The Answer

Just a sickening post man, please stop. Neither Romo nor Henson has done anything to improve their lot or lessen their chances to make the team.. Well I sort of take that back, Henson has deffinately helped himself in NFLE.

True, I think he has some good things going in his favor such as Norm Chow as the OC who I think will help Young a lot when you consider the great job he did with Palmer and Leinart. However I think they need to be insistant on developing Young as a QB and not just give up and let Young do his own thing which appears to be the case in Atl with Vick.

I think in Atl, they have given up on Vick being a traditional QB and thus now letting him do his thing, since that way they are at least winning games and getting people to buy tickets with his Sportscenter highlight runs.

One thing about the NFL they adjust and will adjust to Vick's game. I tend to agree with Montana when asked about Vick, "If he continues to run like a RB in the NFL, he will have a short career"
