I always laugh at posters who say they're going to "skip the season" or "I'm done with this team if "X" happens". Here's a few hints to those that feel the need to notify the board that they no longer have a use for the team:
1. It's football. It's really not that serious.
2. If you're going to leave, just leave. In all honesty there's not a single person on this board (or the rest of the universe, really) that gives two ****s.
3. No one is going to beg you to stay. So your pathetic public announcement and cry for attention is a waste of your (and everyone else') time.
4. If you want a eulogy of your fan hood. Sit down, grab a pen, write it out, and promptly flush it down the toilet. It's useless anywhere else on the planet.

Agreed. The only "friendly" any aspect of the team needs to be is "win friendly". When you tailor any aspect of a team around one player, you're ****ed when that player either goes down, retires, or....ahem........ gets pushed out the door.

that so true...Really you know this , its ridiculous to think that, it ebb's and flows where the moneys spent to where the contracts come up at the time players start becoming stars..some franchises lean one way or another but overall the NFL and Fans are more attracted to high scoring games..

However they overhauled the entire DBs last year through the draft, they brought back Lawerence at a heavy price and made sue Irving stays or we get great compensation for him..paid bit much for Crawford and even though it was a fail the Fas last off-season were on the defense..

In reality it was the only team above .500 that we defeated (I'm not going to count the Eagles).

They aren't addressing the weak spots from the previous year. While the Eagles see their window and are maximizing their opportunities, we're largely standing pat with the status quo.

Not shifting around the costs on offense, getting rid of Bryant and Witten's terrible contracts and putting Dak behind the wheel has all handicapped this offense.

JMO, but we upgraded the o-line with the signing of Fleming and we added some speed to the WR core. LB is a huge need and hasn't been addressed yet, but there are literally 4 LBs (Edmunds, Smith, Evans and Vander Esch) that could come in and be an upgrade on day 1. Several DTs that can make an impact as well. Not sure if we get an upgrade at safety or not, but it's very possible we could get a starting LB and S in rounds 1 and 2, and a rotational 1 Tech in round 3.

We didn't even have a starting QB for most of the year.

But the first big mistake this team made was switching from Romo to Prescott so early. Romo is still on the books, but we're not getting the caliber of QB play we need for the amount we're paying for QBs. Not getting anything out of Romo was also a mistake.

We now have an overpriced offense that is not high powered... think about that...

I seriously doubt his value was next to nothing. Look around the league and how mediocre QBs are getting pay days, but I do agree with your premise.

Should be an upgrade at backup at the very least, so yes, a Green replacement. Not sure anyone knows exactly what we're getting there, aside from the fact that he's smart. Got some high falutin' degrees. Aeronautics and astronautics. Strictly a RT/G. Very powerful, should be able to play OT or OG at a starter quality level.
