Coleman wasn't suspended for drugs.

What was the suspension for then? Don't tell me alcohol, because I'm pretty sure they don't suspend people for that.

Actually they can if the player is already in the substance abuse program.

I say Vinny was brought in to replace him. Got it direct from Valley Ranch in March 2004, a full 4 months before we even got Testasaurus. Henson was also brought in to replace him. That didn't work out. It doesn't change the fact that was clearly the plan from the get go.
remember valley ranch equals not tuna.

what you heard, no doubt, were rumblings about failed drug tests and looming suspensions that sources inside VR learned about and needed to prepare for. vinny was around, 2+2 was obvoius. of course jerruh had to play the "we're surprised" card for legal and other reasons when releasing QC.

as limited as QC was on the field, NO ONE thought Vinny would be an upgrade as starter. not even jerruh in his wildest, dream... i'm hard on Jerruh for bone-headed football moves, but even he knew better.

It's being replayed online right now, if anyone likes watching train wrecks.

He just said he not only thought he would get another NFL shot, but that he deserved another shot.

Also said no one has ever said he did coke.

Talent and trouble are tied together. The one position that has a lower than normal trouble bar is QB, because if your starting QB goes away in the middle of the season it usually means your season is shot.

QC caused more trouble than his talent allows for at multiple stops already. I seriously doubt any team in the league is going to jump on the band wagon of a 29 year old QB with very few skins on the wall and a history of leaving orginizations with no choice but to get rid of him.

That is what always blew my mind about him.

A complete and utter lack of humility and little touch with reality.

He felt entitled in Canada and they flushed him quickly. He won't get any further in the NFL with that sort of attitude.

Yeah, but I do bet some arena league team will take a shot at him. Although, the arena league seems like it might highlight his weakeness even further.

marcus coleman was just suspended for marijuana..yet he's a "parcells guy" he gets a pass

I thought Coleman was suspended for alcohol...

Better than Bledsoe. Even after a two-year layoff.
Even despite that Q is/has smoked da chronic and Bledsoe drinks milk?
Better than Super Bowl QB Bledsoe; Carter, on the other hand started the blooper bowl his entire NFL career.
What a kidder you are!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the smile.

I believe Quincy Carter is better than Bledsoe and I believe that the Cowboys should sign him back to be a back-up..

I would like for this thread to get tested positive for the ganja and escorted off the premises early morning.

It can even say goodbye to Aveion Cason if it likes.

What a disappointing thread. Where is the typical heat of a QC thread? We need Hutch to step up and do an interview stating he is ready if needed by a team to get this board fired up. :lmao:

I believe Quincy Carter is better than Bledsoe and I believe that the Cowboys should sign him back to be a back-up. He doesn't cost that much as a quarterback and I believe with some help from Drew Bledsoe and Romo he could be even better but it's going to take him some time to get back to his normal self. But he might do what Randal Cunningham did when he took a layoff from the NFL. Never know.

Why do you think that they don't want him back. They know with as much talent as this team has, we'd go straight back to the playoffs. They'd rather lose with garbage rather than win with a mobile qb. Seems like they aren't real cowboy fans like you and me.

Until QC can realize that the world is not out to get him and that he is always going to be a backup he will not pan out for any team.

He had troubles here when he was demoted and I think part of the problem when he went to the CFL was his mentality that he was not going to be anything but someone on the lower end of the depth chart.

Just say no to QC.

He was demoted only because of Jerry's view of Hutch's potential which Parcells' shot down pretty quickly. We had a 3-4 record despite playing against top competition with a 2nd year qb. What did Carr,Harrington,Brees,Pennington,Rivers do in their second years. Carter only played 8 games in his rookie year too. No doubt after having passed the difficult part of our schedule, we would have finished no worse than .500 in 2002.
