12-4
I agree with him. He's a good, rational poster.
But I'm not about to say I couldn't say it better. I probably could.
LOL, not sure if you are serious or not, do you really think that's what I meant...
Let me clarify....quit on the season as to having any chance of winning.
Is that understandable?
So what is the Mendoza line for "quitting on the season"? If I think they might eke into the playoffs and not win the Super Bowl, have I quit on the season?
And if the ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl but I don't think my team will manage that feat, haven't I in essence already quit on the season?
It's whatever you want it to be from the sound of it. So knock yourself out with it.
Until they are eliminated from contention [if they are], I won't quit. And then after that, I still won't.
I will just get ready to be fired up for the next year.
And not everyone is right either.
When the dust settles on the 2014 season all the "negative" posters will be proven correct. Again.
This is a bad, poorly managed football team. Mark me down for 6 wins.
The only way a fan can quit is by turning off the television. No one here is going to do that.
Quite frankly, it is absurd to accuse a person of quitting on the season because they don't think the team will win X amount of games.
Name me anyone as good as him that we have now.
It's the same old cliche, they're suddenly better when they put on the star and never as good when they take it off.
As good as Ware? Based on how he played last year? Selvie out performed him, Ware 6 sacks and 40 tackles vs Selvie 7 sacks and 45 tackles. Ware in his prime is a very good player we have not seen him in his prime in the last 2 years yet Dallas paid him as one of the top Defensive players in the league.
If we were talking 2011 Ware then hey I agree but fact remains we have not seen that player in a while

quit does not mean one won't watch, quit by not giving the team a chance to play to see how they will play
I say 8-8, as I always said, until they prove me otherwise "on the field"
And I wasn't accusing anyone of quitting, it was meant in context as to all the 3 to 5 win choices.
So If I say 6 wins then I'm not a quitter?
If your sole focus is on 2013, disregarding everything else? Sure.
But I don't think in that vacuum. It's a body of work, not one season.
And I expect that Denver will see more of the previous 3-4 Ware rather than the 4-3 Ware we got last year.
Good for him and good for them.
Let us not beat around the bush here. We have been a mediocre team that has regressed while most of the league has gotten better. Even if you are just standing still, the rest of the league will pass you by. And we have been going backwards.
So, how bad are we going to be? I think 4 to 5 wins tops. I think the team will play hard for the coach. I think Romo is past his prime, can't move like he once did and is no longer a top tier quarterback. I think the defense will be horrible, albiet probably not as statistically as bad as last year, because the offense wont force our opponents to attack us as much to beat us.
I think Garrett is gone after this year. I think our scouting department, however, is one of our real weaknesses, but our owner continues to trust the same old geezers hes had for 100 years.
Speaking of our owner, I think he is entering senility. Not to be harsh, but I expect decisions to get worse from here on out. I think Jerry as to the point where he is ok with losing, as long as the franchise becomes more valuable. Hes happy with his investment. But all the testosterone and vitality that led to those 90s championships, that is all gone now.
Stephen is a muppet of his father, so I don't see much changing there. Even when Jerry passes, Stephen will run the team in the same, "owner knows best," philosophy.
I know this thread seems harsh. But, Im not complaining actually. I am also not going to stop being a fan. I am just resolved to the fact that there is a decent chance the Cowboys won't win another championship in the next 20 years. Seriously.
and Jones has been ripped time after time for holding on to players over 30 dealing with injuries and now all of a sudden he should fork over big money to a guy who in the last 2 years has not been able to do the job? I hope the best for ware but 2 season in a row he has dealt with shoulder and neck problems that have slowed him down. Dallas looked to reduce his cost he choose not too. Meantime we don't know if Ware problems will continue, he did good in camp last year and by week 3 is was pretty much useless. Now based on that can we get more production than we have in the past 2 years? I think they can.
So in regards to looking at 1 season I'm not and add to that a player who is 32
