Got news for you, stash. If you're disappointed with today's win, it *is* your own fault.
Flash for you.
I didn't build or coach Team Mediocrity, therefore, it is
not my fault. Farthest from it. Only the most earnest of excuse-makers would try to place 'blame' anywhere than other than where it deservedly belongs.
I'm not about to apologize for being less than thrilled in coming from behind and beating a bottom-feeder team with no quarterback - at home - while shutting down our own running game after early success.
Expectations should be measured relative to what the team is able to deliver. I don't know what you've seen so far this year that would indicate to you we're able to slow down good passing teams. We're just not. Until the team demonstrates that it can make some progress there, we're going to continue to struggle against good passing offenses. If we beat them, it'll be because Tony and the offense plays great football.
Trouble is, that they've shown what they are capable of offensively, most recently against the Broncos. The cat's out of the bag. No putting the genie back in the bottle. And then they follow it up with lame efforts like the pas two weeks.
As for the pass defense?
Completely unacceptable, and showing me that the game has clearly passed Kiffin by.
Any again, inexcusable considering the investments made in the secondary.
Jones, Garrett, Kiffin, and everyone not named Marinelli are out of excuses.
As are any fans without blinders on.
