This.

Until we build the 85 Bears Defense, that can defend a short field after Dak throws 3 first half INTs and sets the other team up at our 25 yard line 3 times in first 15 minutes, we stand no chance of winning.

That's the only way to Dak-Proof this team.

Also, we need better tackling WIDE RECEIVERS, that can turn those Pick 6's Dak dishes out like Halloween Candy into mere interceptions, which our 85 Bears Defense can limit to Field Goals.

WE ARE EXPECTING TOO MUCH OF DAK!!!!
We don’t need an all-time great defense to win a SB. We need a defense that plays great in the playoffs. A defense that can stop the run, get after the QB and make critical stops when the game is on the line. In other words do everything our defense hasn’t been able to do in almost 30 years in postseason.

Dak's inability to sustain drives wears out Dallas' defense in big games.

You have no clue what you're even watching.
Dallas defense inability to get off the field makes it difficult for the offense to get into rhythm.

I like Romo but sadly I wouldn't call him one of the all time greats. There have been too many great quarterbacks that got it done. Standard for Quarterbacks also seems a bit higher than Tightend and Defensive End. Witten and Ware are more likely to get into the HOF versus Dak or Romo.
They are. Still think they are greats though. They were great players. Some guys never achieve the postseason success.

Mod Edit:

I got this from X

Where Dak ranks among all time Quarterbacks:

Pass completion percentage: 4th

Adjusted Net Yards per pass attempt: 7th

Pass interception percentage: 9th

Passer rating: 5th

Touchdown/Interception ratio: 6th

Fun fact: in 3 of Dak’s playoff losses the defense allowed 30+ points.

Other Quarterbacks playoff records when their defense allows 30+

Tom Brady: 2-3
Aaron Rodgers: 1-5
Drew Brees: 0-3
Joe Montana: 0-3
Brett Farve: 0-7
Peyton Manning: 2-4
John Elway: 0-6
Ben Roethlisberger: 0-6

“But playoffs” is a stupid argument when analyzing a quarterback’s skill set

+30 point games, you would have to look at did the offense give points, and how many?

For example, if dak gave up 14 points in a +30 point loss, and his offense scored 28 points, would it not be the points he gave up
that caused the loss?

Stats are all flawed in that they dont consider the situations, they just add up numbers.

Umm…no. This isn’t a game of playground basketball where the scorer continues to keep the ball until he doesn’t score. For a Dak led team in the playoffs, apparently the game is over when the opposing team goes up 7-0. Next thing you know it’s 27-0 and all the fault of the defense.

Dak didn't directly cause the defense to collapse. He just played so uninspired that they couldn't help but lose the little fight they had going into the game. Unlike a Mahomes where his play inspired his defense to start cracking skulls and be aggressive.
Dak is not mahomes. Which we come full circle again, everyone complaining why isn't he mahomes.

I think Romo is too and he choked a lot. Ware and Witten too and they also did nothing while here in the post season.
Jerry and the coaching also plays a part in losing playoff games and win or go home games.
In 2009 playoffs , jerry wanted columbo back at right tackle, after being out with injury for most of the season..
Minn LB's and linemen ate him up and were sacking romo all game due to that one glaring mistake.Free should have played RT.

Coaching and game plan really bad too, and Minn was a good team with farve at qb, and good defense, they almost made the SB,
but the head hunting saints beat them by having a bounty on farve. Also did the same to kurt warner.

So choking isnt always on the qb. Dak has played poorly, but his coaches and game plans have not exactly been great, same for Tony.
A qb can be helped by a good HC, or limited/put in bad situation by a bad HC.

I am tired of dak, but even if they get another qb, with the coaches jerry hires, I think the team will still struggle in playoffs.

Was the defense worn out after drive 1 against GB? I ask because the GB offense had the following happen in their 7 drives: TD-Punt-TD-TD-TD-TD-TD. I remember this drive order because no team in playoff history has won where their defense gave up a TD on 6 of their first 7 possessions. If they are supposedly worn out by drive 3 then their are far too out of shape to be playing in the NFL.

Memories.................la la la la la la..............notice the Deer in the headlights at the end of the clip. :omg:

that was a killer int, they were driving, the boom!! pick 6 !
That is mostly on dak, but MM is calling and designing the plays.

It looked like the gb guy had read this easily, and jumped in front it . He read it better than the wr ! lol. So that is partly on mm.
Kinda helps to have new plays in the playoffs.

Analytics will never tell the complete story of Dak. His intangibles weigh too heavy to not consider them as well.

I agree. You can change the personnel but it won’t matter if the guy up top won’t change.

That is not what you said. You said choked now your changing it.

Funny when dak loses, its a team game...and others lost the game.

But you say ROMO lost them.

You are a strange bird....no insult intended but this is weird.
No I didn’t. You asked me which ones did he choke in and I said every game he lost he choked in.

I never blamed Romo for the losses. I just said he choked in them lol. It’s not his fault his team wasn’t good enough I don’t blame him for it.

Isnt the two high Safeties, where one comes down post snap, the killer play which Dak repeatedly fails to see?
