How do you build around 3 players making up 50% of Cap?

That's just not true. There are many players who do just that, but they don't sell airtime very well. Greedy problem children sell airtime so that's who you hear about.
Really? Who are the alltruistic players who are going to sacrifice their bodies for the owners pocket book? Do you have any names?

Because fans are not here for the whining and complaining from the GM. He has had almost 30 years to field a winner. NO ONE GETS THAT LONG. All the faces change but his. So get rid of Dak! Now what's the excuse? Or you mean to tell me if Dak would play for whatever number they would prefer to pay him...they will be able to add the final piece that is holding this team back?
No, why should I stop telling fans the market is out of whack?

Not hard, just look around at the players who didn't fight over contracts. And then have no problem being extended so the team can push money around trying to build a contrender. Diggs could've gotten more. See how easy that was?

At this point, Dak's just a liar about that. You don't hire an agent known for sabotaging teams if you don't care about money. And the agent specifically represents you, so he's doing what you're telling him to do. If Dak wanted a longer term contract, it was there, and wouldn't have screwed the team like this little 4 year screw you contract did.
Does France even deal with other teams? The way he has this front office "exposed", maybe he just piles up the cash without having to go thru the stress of dealing with organizations that wouldn't let him get all the leverage.

Assuming a cap next year of $275m in 2025, assuming Micah is signed, you're talking about $46m cap hits for each of these guys lol.

Their combined cap hit will be closer to $60m than $140m. Tyreek Hill had cap hits of $6m and $13m his first two years in MIA.

Refusing to understand that cap hit and AAV are not the same is CRAZY. Worrying about 3 players taking 50% of the cap is just ignoring the reality of how NFL contracts work and making up problems.

Stating the average players should get top money is even more ignoring reality.

This is what we are looking at if we resign Lamb, Prescott and Parsons.

Even our dysfunctional ownership has mentioned this in our 1st week at Training Camp.

I’m not sure any Franchise has ever attempted such a task?

We couldn’t build around them on Rookie contracts , how do you if they are about half of your Cap. I’m all ears people!!
This is why Trey Lance is in play. This will be Dak's last season in Dallas, he's too greedy

Isn’t this Lances final year of his Rookie deal? You think we will see enough to know he’s our future? You’ll be ready to throw 50-60 million at him next year?

He won't be looking for 50-60, more like 10-15M

He's not going to take backup money to be a starter lol.

Even if he did take that number, it would be a 1-year deal and either he's bad and released, or gets near $60m in 2026.

What team has 3 players using 50% of their cap?
there is a difference between cap management and averages.....other teams pay out, but they manage the cap year to year...yes money gets pushed down the line.

How did philly end up with so many top 5 paid contracts? yet they are under the cap?

I swear, people on this site!!!

Backups are making 5M a year, he would be an unproven starter that would easily sign a 3 year 45M deal this year vs 180M with Dak. Stop the BS

As the starting QB for years to come?
Not longterm but we would have a window and a lot of money to spend in FA. How do you think SF fields such a good roster?

Purdy's salary was 1M last year...it won't be that for long but they had a window the last two years.

Yes. But Purdy is still on Rookie contract.

Lance rookie contract or 5th year matures in 2025. That’s an awful small window before paying him.
