How do you build around 3 players making up 50% of Cap?

I don't "care" about their finances. I'm against organizations hiding behind players asking for their market value as a reason they don't win and/or re-sign players.
But, the reasoning is valid. Overpaying some players keeps you from super bowl contention.

And market value is a very grey area. Is it really market value if it keeps you from winning?

This is what we are looking at if we resign Lamb, Prescott and Parsons.

Even our dysfunctional ownership has mentioned this in our 1st week at Training Camp.

I’m not sure any Franchise has ever attempted such a task?

We couldn’t build around them on Rookie contracts , how do you if they are about half of your Cap. I’m all ears people!!
This front office?

Only one team wins every year. Should every team that loses refund fans and ask players to give back some of the money they were paid. It seems like you only want the owners to conduct themselves as businessmen,

If we do resign our QB, dont see how we can resign both Lamb and Parsons.
Unless all of them agree to 6 or 7 year deals. Then we can play with the years with bonuses if we need to sign other players. I don’t think it would be possible to sign Dak to a record breaking deal for QBs, CD and Micah as the highest paid non QBs and have all the contracts be 4 years. Assuming they want guaranteed money, which is a safe assumption.

And that’s really what fans all too often lose sight of. The NFL is a business first. Playing football is just the byproduct. Winning comes first for the fans but not those involved in the business. Winning just makes it more fun for them.

I have no idea what you're trying to convey.

The lesser the QB, the more you need around him. An accurate assessment is absolutely necessary in evaluation how much to pay a QB.

It's about being in super bowl contention.

I'm not sure what you and I are doing at this point. Dak has a market value......either you want to pay it or you don't. I really don't give a rats a** what you do...but stop trying to tell Dak and/or the fans that his market value is out of whack!!!!!!!!

The key is the QB. If you want to play others, he must agree to longer term deals so money can be kicked down the road so the team can be/stay in contention.
Somehow he doesn't care about money .... but he also doesn't seem to do anything that's not in his best personal interest. Weird.

Someone get Miami's cap cheat code.

Tua = 53mil AAV
Hill = 30mil AAV
Waddle = 28.5mil AAV
Chubb = 22mil AAV
Ramsey = 20mil AAV
Armstead = 15mil AAV
Sieler = 10mil AAV.

Oh wait, contracts vary in cap hit on a year to year basis?
The NFL salary cap is back to expanding at a good clip per year?
Restructuring? Extensions? Releasing under-performing players?
Is this in the CBA???

Yes, if Dallas signs all three they can't go all Madden and sign top free agents.
However, Dallas sits out free agency, and relies on the draft to restock players.
This issue is so overblown.

The 2010-20 core is going to be gone by next offseason outside of Prescott.
The Tyron, Martin and Law cap hits will be gone/dead-in the case of Martin and Law.

Dallas re-signed Steele and Diggs to favorable contracts with guarantees. They didn't restructure either deal this offseason.

Dallas has 64mil in cap space next year, with Dak's 40mil dead cap on the books along with Martin and Law's dead cap
By the time these three contracts come to roost due to backloading before or after restructuring the other bigger contracts on the team will be off the roster and their AAVs will no longer look so gawdy.

Players are first and foremost going to look out for what's best for them. There isn't a single player in thr NFL putting life and limb on the line for charity and "for the game."

I am capable discussions without the preconceived notions that any 3 players could cost 75% or 50% of the annual Cap.

There are NFL calendar dates early in the year for NFL teams to get their Cap in order or they get fined!!

When you are ready to have a conversations and NOT dumb narratives that rile up the gullible....

Holla Back youngin....till then let me play with Dak Haters :laugh: :laugh:
I didn't think so.

That's just not true. There are many players who do just that, but they don't sell airtime very well. Greedy problem children sell airtime so that's who you hear about.

Because fans are not here for the whining and complaining from the GM. He has had almost 30 years to field a winner. NO ONE GETS THAT LONG. All the faces change but his. So get rid of Dak! Now what's the excuse? Or you mean to tell me if Dak would play for whatever number they would prefer to pay him...they will be able to add the final piece that is holding this team back?

At this point, Dak's just a liar about that. You don't hire an agent known for sabotaging teams if you don't care about money. And the agent specifically represents you, so he's doing what you're telling him to do. If Dak wanted a longer term contract, it was there, and wouldn't have screwed the team like this little 4 year screw you contract did.
