How do you build around 3 players making up 50% of Cap?

That’s a disingenuous argument. Travis Kelce as the highest paid TE is making like 15m$ a year.

So yeah, if you can convince CeeDee Lamb to take a salary that’s lower than even his 17m$ fifth year option; sure, you figured out how to get it to work.
so now come the spins..... firs people say its impossible, then they see wait, other teams have three stars and now the spin of how much it cost.
Kelce cost is 17M per year.

the point being contracts get done, salary cap goes up, cap hit in a year is different than average value. good teams manage the cap from year to year. idiots like Jerry and stephen struggle.

and in the end, it rolls into the last year of contract, all teams have to take the bitter pill and the hope is that you won a superbowl along the way.

we can go through the same excercise for every other team.

How does the Eagles have all the massive contracts they do and still manage to sign Saquon Barkley?
They traded massive contracts on O for super bowl contention.

BTW, Barkley's cap hit for the 24 season is 3.9 mil.

The key is the QB. If you want to play others, he must agree to longer term deals so money can be kicked down the road so the team can be/stay in contention.
Bingo. Brady did that and it allowed the Pats to have a better team and they won all those Super Bowls. Rodgers in GB wanted the $ upfront, and he won just the 1 Super Bowl.

Oh no, not 1 percentage point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You win, not 50%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL, you know the cap hits won't add up to anywhere near 50%. But at some point it will be time to pay the piper, like we see with Dak's contract now. Dak was a 40M average. But his cap hits over the last 3 years averaged out to around 21 million.

Bottom line is that the salaries of the players always go up just as the cap does. So when you have three top price players, building a strong overall team is next to impossible

Absolutely. Dak played Greedy ball, and it is costing us dearly this season, and prolly next. You simply cannot have a player at the QB position who puts his greed over the team. It won't work.
Disagree. Dak played for 500k his rookie year and the team went 13 - 3. How much money do you think Jerry made hosting that home playoff game? Dak was grossly underpaid based on what he did on his rookie deal. Owners cannot rip it up and give him a raise, but they can cut him

Now that he has the leverage, he has to maximize it. Jerry and/or his family will own this team and make money off this team forever. Dak (and any other player for that matter) only has a finite window to make money off their bodies...and that is what they should. Fans an/or organizations longing for the days where they could control players or when players did not think like businessmen will be waiting forever, because those days are over. And they SHOULD be.

Absolutely.

However, you still cannot pay 3 players the numbers they want and contend for a super bowl. Especially if we find another Schooner or Jaylon that we just have to draft in the 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The highest paid positions in the NFL is QB, Edge Rusher and WR. SO you got a problem when you have all three on the same team at the highest level in the league

And he maximized it at the expense of the team. The numbers are there, there really isn't a possibility for disagreement. If Dak takes a 5-6 year deal, we wouldn't be faced w/ the team sabotaging 59 mil this season and 40 next season.

Your last paragraph has nothing to do w/ what we are talking about.

Which means you trade one and build up other areas. However, to do so you need a savvy GM.

He has over $100 million in the bank and no matter what he will get at least $150 million guaranteed in his next contract
This bs about he has to get every dollar is such a pathetic joke

And I do not care how much they pay him, unless it sabotages the team. Which Dak did by insisting on a 4 yr deal.
