Lol, 11 starters on that team are FAs and that doesn’t include several key backups. 4 of those FAs add up to a 34m cap hit next year. 3 of them are over 30. They have 100m tied up in a WR whose only played a full season once. One corner is 32 and showing signs of decline.. the other is a FA (6m cap hit)… which one they keep. They have 5 total draft picks 2 1st, 2 7th. There looking at a 250m contract for their QB coming up.., but yeah… dynasty!
They also have 6 picks in the first 2 rounds over the next 2 years. 2023 1,1 2, 2024 1,2,2

Youth also plays a factor in guys like Howie Roseman. They still ready to learn from their mistakes as well.

But Hurts is not good. If they give him a huge contract, good for us..
Hurts might not be good but he's still much better than Dak.

The Cowboys are a good team not average. I think the Cowboys are a couple of big free agent signings and a good draft away from being an elite team. The Joneses need to stop being cheap and go for it.

I agree they need to stop being cheap. However, they are not a good team because you don’t carry over the same team into the next season. They are nothing at the moment but they will approach this season as if they can just pick up where they left off.

That is precisely one example of why their leadership is so deficient.

The Cowboys are currently a top 8 team in the NFL. They are good. Their best players except for Pollard are under contract. Any team with Parsons, CeeDee, Tyler, Martin and Diggs is a great foundation to build a NFL power house around.

The best gm in the nfl explains quite simply his philosophy on the matter. While dumb and dumber are on record stating the exact opposite. One guy has his job on the line while the other two have the most valuable franchise label to hold up to. Quite simply put - this is the difference between the two franchises

Jerry literally last week. “I like being in the middle”

You can’t make this stuff up. You guys can draft, sign, trade, do whatever y’all want. Fire x coach and hire y. None of that will matter until somebody that knows what they are doing is in charge.

Jerry took big risks after Jimmy and they failed miserably. He sucks at both.

And although many of you wont admit it, Dak is one the best if not the most valuable player we have.

I just did a threat on this. The franchises happy with being competitive 50-50 season.

Are we not already exhausted complaining about our GM and his vestigial appendage, Stephen? Jerry is wrong. We have 28 years of evidence to show his way does not work. Although, we have to admit he has changed his methods over the years. Maybe in another 28 years, his thinking will catch up to Roseman's and most of the rest of the league. The Eagles have the proof their way is more correct than Jerry's. They were in the 2018 Super Bowl, and they are in the 2023 Super Bowl. Look at Jerry's off season in 2022, and look at Roseman's. The Eagles methodically added piece after piece until that had a virtual all-star roster. Jerry dumped talent for basically nothing in return. During the season, after two teams ran over the Cowboys like a herd of Buffalo over the grassy plain, te Cowboys finally went out and acquired a DT like Hankins, but the Eagles, despite having Fletcher Cox and Hargrave on their roster went out and got Joseph and Suh because their rookie DT went on IR for 4 weeks. Clearly one team was more aggressive while the other was reluctant. The aggressive team is going to the Super Bowl.

The Cowboys have chosen to fight with one are tied behind their backs. They are the one legged man in a butt kicking contest.

Valuable due to positional value. One of the best? No, he's down on the list. Maybe in the 6-8 range.

Shots fired back at the Jones Fam. I'm glad he said this, but let's see how much of a genius Roseman is when he has to pay that qb. There's a lot of expiring contracts in Philly

And a lot of extra 1st/2nd round picks coming over the next two years.

Be interesting to see what happens w/ Hurts' contract.
