RIght here is a good ol fashioned hater. For no reason.

Come on brother...alleged cowboys fan. Check this video out! (You won;t. you need to ignore the facts to rationalize your hatred)

Yep. I hate him. Am I not entitled to my opinion same as you? Or are you one of the “rights for me, not for thee” crowd?

If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. He loves the game, is a student of the game, and would be tremendously effective at designing plays. Few collarbone injuries in the offensive coordinator world, right?

Yes, the Dak-Romo relationship is probably a bit icy, but that can be a good thing too, both would have to be intentionally professional in their discussions.
According to the click bait he's been mailing it in and just costing by, kinda like he did every offseason, i dont want that kind of coach

I can;t exactly argue about the results....but if you think these two QB's are equal....you're nuts. Sure///tony did have a coupel good WR's....but he also had the likes of Miles Austin, Sam Hurd, Patrick Crayton, a bust of a Roy Williams.
What I said had nothing to do with Romo vs Dak. Romo was the better QB. This is about the coordinators doing the same stupid things at key moments.

Provide one single shred of evidence that Romo didn't work hard in the offseason when he was here.

Oh, he played golf rather than injuring himself doing something stupid. This forum has some of the dumbest fans I've ever come across, only topped by Steelers fans - but at least they defend their former players, even to a fault.

A couple of reasons to not do this.

1) Another learn-on-the-job coach. It hasn't paid off for Dallas, and it likely never will.

2) Romo isn't serious enough to give the job 100%. He might at first, but he'll slack off pretty quick.
In his current job it does sound like he is bored, he always seemed like a really competitive guy to me maybe once he is part of a team again he would drive hard.... he also may be very happy (Makes more sense) to do ALOT less work and make MUCH more money.

This thread still has people coming in with the "he's not motivated" nonsense even AFTER the article this is all stemming from has been completely debunked by CBS themselves.

No surprise the people eating this up have a bunch of avatars of players from the 70s. Boomers, a generation that ate up propaganda from the mainstream. Worthless opinions.
He's not motivated. Truth hurts. It was why he never could get over the hump in the playoffs and why he has obviously regressed as a game announcer. I know it hurts to find out your hero has feet of clay, but it is what it is.

Even head coach is probably a rung below broadcaster. None of these dudes is giving up their broadcasting gigs to be a coordinator. Probably only to be President of football operations.

See, this is why I make threads like this... to hear other perspectives. If Romo is dedicated, then he would be one of the biggest success stories. It is up to his choice to be dedicated or not.

I'll always be in his corner, because he was a Cowboy.
So were Lance Rentzel, Raphael Septien and Dwayne Goodrich.

I think he would be horrific as an OC. Nothing against Romo, but OC's are guys who are really into the game. Just not Romo.

Jerry thinks he didn't. In one of his contracts, Jerry wrote in that Romo would have to spend more time at the facility and put more into the game. I think it was 2013, the year we drafted Fredbeard. Jerry "made him promise to give a Peyton-like commitment in the offseason and during the season. The Cowboys want him to spend more time at the facility so he can have input on personnel and O game-planning."

That was the year that he agreed to that if Jerry would agree to take a 1st round OL and fix the OL.

It was all in the news at the time.

The odds of romo taking a OC job and tremendous pay cut is slightly less than zero

Yep, that was right after Booger said Romo was the only QB that could play behind that OL.

I never heard if it was Booger or Romo's idea to spend Tuesday's with the O coaching staff developing the game plan for that week but it was a good idea.

Well, Jerry is also a moron who went on to cry during the HOF saying it was his fault that Romo and Witten didn't have a championship ring. So, you know, who cares what he thinks.

Romo wasn't a naturally gifted QB - he got to where he was through hard work.

Also, more propaganda and media twists. One second of google, and it shows that Jerry put his foot in his mouth and had to explain away his stupidity.

"Reaction to the words from the Dallas owner and general manager came fast: Does that mean Romo hasn't done enough to make team headquarters his second home in six full seasons as the starting quarterback?

"No. It's a bonus," Jones says. "Anybody will tell you that Peyton Manning's involvement in what they do is a bonus as opposed to what the general commitment is of top quarterbacks in the NFL. We've committed and he's committed to that type of in-season and offseason approach for these years under his contract — as part of the $100 million."

The vast majority of QBs in the league don't "Get over the hump". There is more going on in a game than your low IQ fan understanding. You don't know ball, bruh.

You are of course "entitled". I can still call it dumb, stupid, narrow-minded and ignorant.

You hate him in every shape and form. Even when he showed up the great JJ Watt? Dumb.

When someone doesn’t agree with you this is how you react? Consider SteveTheSnowflake for a handle.
