Got to make the playoffs first and the two things we know about this season, like every other season in the last 10, there will be surprises and disappointments and the Cowboys have been both.

I think they're looking out the front window at PHL and SF and might need to look just as hard at DET, NYG and SEA in the rearview mirror.
I posted the same reference to DET, NYG, and SEA before I saw this post. I think they're 3 upcoming teams who can cause some headaches this year. SEA and NYG had great drafts..

Sure we may have drafted some good players.

This draft was a total nuts and bolts draft. It’s cool we improved on a already elite NFL defense.

But…

Dallas biggest weakness was offensive playmakers and all we really did was add Brandon Cooks.

The guard spot is still weak.

I think if they go with their best 5 then that means Tyler back at guard and Tyron back at left Tackle.

I just don’t see a team as it’s currently constructed that’s competing with the Eagles for the division or the conference.

My hope is they have something up there sleeve.

It’s hard for me to believe that Ronald Jones is really going to be their #2 back.

The Cowboys are also really giving Tolbert an opportunity to shine with not giving him any real competition.

My hope is that Dallas will somehow pull off a miracle trade and get Derrick Henry in here.

The Titans are not a contender and Henry kinda changes everything for us. Immediately makes us a legit Super Bowl contender.
If we face the 9ers in the playoffs abd play maxi and Hankins on 1st and 2nd down with a healthy Diggs and Gilmore at corner, I love our chances. It would cone down to dak. If he chokes, it’ll let us know we need a new qb.

I'm just rooting for injuries for the Eagles, that's really the only chance we have. It's a shame they have to be the ones that teach us what a real GM looks like.

What do you still need to tell you Dak isn't the guy?

Unless any of these players can play QB we did not make any progress and in fact regressed. This will not be a 12-5 team this year.

Dallas and Seatttle are competing for the 4th best team.

Philly, Detroit, and the 9ers are top 3.
And the Cowboys play those four teams this upcoming season:
PHL 2× \ home and away
DET, SEA \ home
SF \ away

27 years of Jerry bufoonery doesn't make me wrong....

Just amazing how many people still defend this garbage.....
I didn't defend anything Float, but neither did I think it was all garbage. If all you see is nothing but garbage year after year for 27 years, apparently you only come here to vent.
Perhaps the only reason you still come here despite 27 years of horrible garbage is for all the wonderful company we provide you with?

no way they try to get henry. they are done with rb , unless they bring ewok back.
jerry in his mind went all in in FA lol, and then they stay the course with a conservative draft.

The team looks a little better, on surface, but not enough to compete with eagles.
Thing is if KC makes it back to SB again, then it is going to be hard for any nfc team to beat them.
I think the eagles did more, because they are thinking about how to beat KC in SB.

Dallas and jones boys are thinking on how to beat SF lol.

If you just look at the draft and not the collective and cumulative effect of the offseason, sure. However adding a veteran corner, a veteran wide receiver and a run stuffing big athletic slob of A DT are all ways improvements in key positions and areas of need.

Whether or not we win the championship? Idk but I know the front office for the most part look at our weaknesses and mostly made a strategic effort to plug those areas in. I applaud them for that and do think we will be a better team next year even if we have 1,2 less wins potentially.

The cowboys , I think a lot depends on MM , his play calling, game mgmt, and how he uses the new players, will determine
how good they are.
Right now I would have to say the eagles should repeat as div winner, and nfc winner.
But we never know, with injuries etc.
