Because you have no connection to them?
But that's not true. What's your connection to a team that happens to play in the state you live in? Geograhpical proximity? So what?

He's a true fan. Probably was a Charges fan, but dumped them bc the Rams moved closer to him.[/QU

How is Geographical proximity not a big deal? I mean is there a bigger factor to being a fan than Geographical proximity? Players come and go, the team stay forever (except in CA case).
The connection is that you like them. It's all you need.
He's more loyal than you anyway as you've only been a Rams fan since 2016.
That is not a concrete enough connection. That more abstract than anything.
That is not my fault that the Rams didn't come back to LA for 22 years. Rams, Chargers, Raiders, didn't matter, just give me an LA football team. Didn't happen for 22 years.
Most of us aren't from here, of course. I never lived in Texas, BUT my mom is from Fort Worth and I spent a lot of time visiting her parents in Fort Worth. They indoctrinated me from a very young age.How can there be Cowboys fans living in California? I mean how? How can you be a fan of a team that you have no connection with? Why not move to the state of the team you support if you love it so much over there?
If you are in California, you should be fan of a California team. How can you live in California, a Cowboys fan, and live with yourself?
Now its one thing if you are only in California for work and have families in Texas or something that make sense.
This is my worst post but I'm pretty LIVID if you could not tell. Its one thing to be a Dallas Cowboys fans, its another being a California Cowboys fans. The home field situation alone is already pissing me off!
I think it is also where you grew up and what was on the TV at that time. I grew up in upstate NY and the Cowboys were always on TV along with the Giants (who play in NJ). the other teams that was on the three channels that I got growing up was either the Jets, Pats, or Bills depending on what team was doing well at that time. I know many fans on CA who are Red Soxs fans who never been to Boston. It should not matter that you live in that state or city you automatically root for that team.
Regardless of a person's reason for their initial fandom, I would respect a fan who sticks with their team over a fan that would jump teams. I've been a fan of the Cowboys for over 25 years (I was born in SC, so no NFL team there). I live in Virginia now, and I'll be damned before I would ever cheer the Commanders (or any other team for that matter).
We appreciate your stubborn determination @Ramsfan. There will always be fans that don't see eye to eye. You're in a Cowboys forum and we fight amongst ourselves every day. Just root for and represent your team to the best of your ability.
When Arizona acquired the Cardinals, they didn't have a fan base either but it grew. Your fans are out there, just give them time. Its hard when opponents have more fans than we do. I still don't understand why LA isn't a big enough football city? There so many people here that they can fill multiple football stadiums alone. USC and UCLA football are extremely popular so it not like LA doesn't like football.

The rams left LA when? Those fans weren't required to be loyal to a team that wasn't loyal to them. People in LA should just drop who they like just because they decided to come back? Also the Chargers were in San Diego until those greedy *******s decided to move them. It sucks to be rams chargers and raiders fans. Especially Raiders fans because this will be the second time their team left Oakland.
