I gave up on my team last night

I've been a fan for 43 years. I watched coach Landry have 20 consecutive winning seasons. I watched Jerry Jones come in and absolutely demolish the foundation of this team established by Tex Shramm and Tom Landry. The early 90's were a product of Jimmy Johnson and no salary cap, and Jones hasn't a clue how to have a quality product on the field week in and week out since that time. Until there is a change in leadership it doesn't matter who the coach or QB might be.

I was at the game yesterday , there were about 30-35% packer fans . In the 4th quarter I felt bad there was a cowboys fan yelling at us to get up and support your defense get loud etc , I wanted to but I just couldn't do it . I found myself frozen knowing this defense was not going to make a stop . I got the sense every cowboys fan around knew our defense was useless . When GB kept scoring we weren't even suprised we expected it . I give that fan credit but he was also naive . Has he seen the same team we've all seen , did he have more faith than me or was he just naive ?

again people can see the same thing but come away with different conclusions it happens all the time.

Agreed
People have been seeing the garbage Jerry puts out year after year and keep saying he is a great owner

I used to be that way, but it's gotten a little easier in time.
Not happening, maybe you haven't read my post. I'm not explaining it again but I will never turn off a Cowboys game....EVER. That's me, I committed to my team and will support the Star until death

Not naive, that's what being a fan means to him. Frankly if "fans" aren't going to get loud and help the defense then why go to the stadium to watch the game? Seahawks fans get loud and are proud to know it helps their team, even when they didn't have winning seasons.

For the record, before I hear from my fellow shills, I play BF4 but NEVER during a Cowboys game. I am a true glutton for punishment.

I told myself not to post until Weds.. Let the game sink in.. Blah blah blah.. Not possible. This board is like therapy for the weary.
I play BF4 too. It's so much more fulfilling. :D

so it didn't bother you but you had to start a thread to tell us it didn't bother you?

methinks thou dost protest too much

I am still fuming over that game. My wife thought I was going to have a heart attack given the way I was screaming at the TV and our loser head coach

I never heard a word about Seahawks fans till they started winning. Chief fans yes.

Maybe I wasn't listening.

After 40 years of being a Cowboys fan, I willingly turned a game off before it finished. I have ALWAYS watched a Cowboys game to the bitter end despite the outcome. Not sure why I have always watched a game to the end even in blowouts, maybe it's been morbid curiosity in a lot of cases.

I shut it off after the Cowboys last series of the 3rd quarter and did not think about it afterwards. Woke up this morning and didn't bother looking at the final score or box score. Did the Cowboys make a furious comeback? So far this morning, I have not bothered to check.

Am I depressed? No I think the word is apathetic at this point.

Now at some point today, I will check that box score, and I will read about the game, and I will start to look forward to the Cowboys-Packers game.

Something changed with me and my fan relationship with the Cowboys last night.

I'll bet it did change.

Even more after the Packers cratering.

But you have to temper your shame as a fan.

The team tries.

They just don't have the players nor coaches.

Be like the rest of us.

Become baseball, basketball and hockey fans.

No I didn't. You said Hawks fans are always loud even when they weren't winning.
And they are but the whole point was about Cowboys fans at the stadium siting in their seat like a little whipped puppy making no noise but typing on the cell phone. You can make this whatever you want it is what it is.

I get it! I got it before. I've read threads just like this before.

I do not subscribe to the theory though that a loud Dallas crowd will help this team & especially this defense. That's just me!

Oh I cheer and cheer loud but not for THIS horrid defense . Why cheer when we all knew they were scoring at will? Lost cause and I know I'm not the only fan that felt that way . I would cheer for defense if there was something worth cheering for on D.

I know Jerry has a fancy Cowboy decked out RV.

Is there any chance Gene signs them up for a old folks RV club & they go to a rally for like oh 20 years? :p
