I Just Don't See A Huge Gap Between Dak and Rush

Nobody wanted Kurt Warner either. There are a lot of biases in the NFL. For all their "professional" advantages, I'm not sure they are terribly better at player evaluations than knowledgeable, reasonable fans.
True but some QBs are just last bloomers ......the talents were always there but the wrong coach, scheme, and weapons kinda took a while. Rich Gannon, Jim Plunket come to mind as well as the ones mentioned.

True but neither was signed as their current team's LONG-TERM starter. The Vikes have a top-10 draft pick waiting on the bench. The original issue (post ) was that Danorld now earned the right to get a long-term offer and he's a free agent. The Vikes have three options, let him walk, offer him a long-term deal consistent with his market value ( OTC says $34M ) or tag him ( this year QB tag is $38M ). The Giants signed Daniel Jones $40M a couple of years ago. So my guess, is $38M will be Darnold's floor on the open market.

BTW....I have already read a few nuggets one of the QB-needed teams may opt to sign him as their future, rather than overdrafting Sanders or Ward.
I have a feeling the QB market will reset itself. We've seen the failures of Jones, Watson, Wilson, Cousins, and even Dak after signing ridiculously high contracts. At what point do these teams realize that overpaying doesn't translate to on-field success? Sure, pay the guys like Burrow and Mahommes, but you won't receive their level of production of leadership and production by signing a fringe top 10 QB to big money.

You don't sign a journeyman with the intention of handing them the job. Draft a guy, sign a vet to a 2 year deal, and make them earn it. If they do, pay them and trade the younger player, or trade the vet if you think the rookie can handle the job.

It will always be the highest-paid position but I agree, now seeing some efforts to SLOW the market down with more emphasis on the RBs lately. Remember 30-35 years ago you couldn't survive w/o a top RB. I think the league is trending back to that and to counter, the DT position has gained more value over the last 4-5 years.

LOL.....You dakfanboys get triggered and cry hate.
Your man crush is declining, better get used to it.
Dak lapped you in life 1,000 times over.

If he's a declining loser, what does that make you?

The offense with Rush looked a good deal like Miami (or like Green Bay with Big Mac and ARod).

Plus Rush can work from under center which is an added wrinkle.

Yeah, people moan about the short passes but it allows you to eat up clock (and wasn't those quick scores a problem with Kellen Moore)?

Imagine this is .ore the offense Big Mac envisioned when he took the job. He didn't know at the time Qak couldn't make quick decisions.

Still won't say one is better than the other. If you have a defense getting turnovers and not getting gassed with long drives it doesn't matter how quick you score.
Nice post, especially and Rush see's more plays under center than Dak does, which I prefer because it helps tremulously with play action.

He's a cowboys fan disgruntled with an over paid loser, like the rest of us.

What your post says about you is that you're some kind of relative to Slak.

dak is not a reigning all pro QB. He's a washed up has been like Zeke.
He is quite literally a reigning All-Pro QB, whether you like it or not.

You people don't do well with facts.

Until any QB we have wins a Super Bowl, not any fan will be satisfied. Every QB is going to be compared to Mahomes or Brady yet the reality is those guys don't come along very often. Most Dallas fans want Arch Manning as if we will be able to draft him either in 2026 or 2027. The Dak controversy will be around again in 2025 regardless so just be prepared. Truth be told is if we don't get one or two more WR that can take the pressure off Lamb and a true bell cow RB and a couple OL that aren't swinging door then the offense will be in the same shape again next year. The defense will be better if we stay away from injuries and resign Parsons (yes it will happen). The cap will be the issue again and for years to come unless someone offers up some 20 billion to buy the Jones out.

We have to draft extremely well. For those believing the Rush is the answer, just ask with actual guys that know football. Rush probably resigns with Dallas and Dallas probably drafts a QB in 4th, 5th or 6th rounds. Free agency isn't going to change anything because we won't sign anyone until all the top 100 free agents are signed by other teams, it is the Stephen/Jerry way.

So for 2025, hope for health and to hit on those 6 or 7 draft picks and hopefully 4 or 5 UDFA that turn out to be gems in the rough.

He's never been selected as an all pro. Once last year he made the all pro 2nd team.

"Prescott just missed making the first-team, but his AP All-Pro second-team honor gets him on one of the teams for the first time in his career."

Ummm yeah preach on about facts there brother, wouldn't want you as my navigator...lol

Chart below list Cowboys all-pro players, by the way, Troy, Tony and Roger were never all-pro's either. Tony and Slak had 4 pro-bowls each and Roger and Troy 6.

Well I am glad that you and I have a different definition of disgruntled. Slak had a terrible year while being given the largest contract ever and your cool with that. Hope your cousin Slak gave you a nice gift this year.

Why don't you start a poll to see what fans are disgruntled about Slak this season, bet you a $100 you are in the minority about not being disgruntled this season...lol.

Are you feeling lucky? (As Clint would say)

Dakfanboys don't make sense.
"Dak lapped you in life 1,000 times over." What a dumb comment.
Has Dak lapped you in life 1000 times over?
Do you separate sports from real life? We aren't talking about life. We are talking about a declining Quarterback.

Dak has absolutely lapped me in life many times over as well.

Just not 1,000 times over, like you. Maybe 500x over for me.

If Dak had lapped me 1,000 times over, maybe I'd be a bitter, pathetic loser too?

You already called yourself disgruntled, remember???

Yeah, that totally screams winner!!!

I'm NOTHING like you, dude.

No matter how you try to spin "disgruntled," that's an emotion only a COMPLETE LOSER experiences while following a sports team.

I can't relate.

You dakfanboys are pathetic. You compare your life to a NFL QB. Lapped 500 times? Are you in a race with Dak?
I'm going to enjoy you dakfanboys and Jerrys pain when Dak crashes and burns. Most expensive choker in the league.
