What's up with that car of yours?
Got it back last Thursday (I believe) and so far so good, Dave. Has a new set of tires, too!

Well, l will look for some!!Hate the spiked ciders and apple ales, strawberry ales etc... but a good chocolate stout you must try, my dear Boxer![]()
If I ever visit your neck of the woods I'll have to check it out
Quick story, JC... I had an overnight layover in DFW, on my way back from R&R to Iraq (you fly commercial for R&R, once you leave, and before you enter Kuwait), they let us go into the town. Me and some soldier I met while mustering went and bought white shirts and hotel shorts and sandals from the hotel gift shop and we went to a cowboy bar (I think it was called Cowboys). This was in 05, and obviously in Texas. They had a strict dress code (no shorts, sandals, etc). When we told them we were military and on our way back to Iraq they let us in and we didn't pay for a drink all nightHad women all over us but I was married and was sad because I had just spent two weeks with my family, so I gave every girl the cold shoulder, much to my pal's chagrin.
Bar in the middle of the dance floor, mechanical bull, the whole nine yards. Awesome place. Awesome drinks. Beautiful Texas women.

That old "I Love Beer. A Lot" was so special. A lot of these people just don't know. "Oh, it was about this or that" -- not for me it wasn't. It was a place to talk, and it thrived for two reasons:
1) Because it was created and active during an historic season where we were all on this site a lot and boozing, and gleaming about our latest win.
2) The openness of the thread. Everyone felt safe in there. We talked about everything and had many a late night discussing everything under the moon. The site "features" were an added bonus but never a draw (for me, at least).
I want to point this out. Just for myself. That thread took on a life of its own through no ones fault. It just happened.
But alas, we have our new beaut. This thread may slow down during the offseason, but baby, it will pick right back up when August comes around.
Cheers, Guys![]()
Amen.
You got that right, I remember the night my daughter went on her first date. Hanging out with you guys made the time fly by and helped me get through the nervousness of a dad in my position. Thanks for that. Your right, it may slow down from time to time, but it'll pick up...the draft is just around the corner.
It was too good. Cheers Trouty. That old "I Love Beer. A Lot" was so special. A lot of these people just don't know. "Oh, it was about this or that" -- not for me it wasn't. It was a place to talk, and it thrived for two reasons:
