I forget when NATO went standard with the 7.62mm ,,1954? 1956? I know they had to rebarrel/ chamber their existing stock of Enfield's as the.303 Mic's out at .311 dia. Where the 7.62 is .308 dia.
They adopted the F.N.FAL before that overhaul I believe,,, I've ran hornady's
XTP .32 cal. 95 grain projectiles thru a .30 cal. Bullet resizer(gotta have one if you're super cheap and reload with cast lead,gas check projos)
In the .30 cal. Carbine casing-liner,, Whew! It's an evil mating

Yeah..l fired those Belgium FN's...heavy babies too. Also durable. Never hunted with them though.
