It is fun.@DFWJC, great draft, bud! That was a whole heck of a lot of fun. Thank you, brother, for originally bringing it to my attention
Cheers, Beer Thread'ers! First round's on me!!!
It is fun.
The grading part, by peers and numerical after draft day, are a bit quirky.
Like they say, you really don't kbow how you drafted until the players play in the NFL.
All in good fun, brother.
Cheers!

Salud, fellas! This is my favorite avatar of yours, Coach! Cheers, sir! Enjoy that ball game, Big Guy!
Its pretty arbitrary. So we don't crown a true champ till after the draft, JC? Or is the winner based on each GM's arbitrary score?
Its pretty arbitrary.
1) The GMs grading in each other is one grade. But we all have our biases and no way to prove right or wrong until 1-3 years from now.
2) The "official grade" is also bogus, but almost all we can do at this early stage to actually measure.
Its based on where the players we took are actually drafted.
For example, if you draft someone at 50 and they get drafted in real life at 30, you get 20 points. If that same player was taken instead later at 65 in real life, youd lose 15.
The tally all your draft picks to get you total score.
Of course the obviously flaw is that maybe your draft was better than the real teams that took the players.
For example, if last year you took Dak Prescott in the early 4th round (still an epic steal) you would lose 20+ points ( he went at the end of round 4). Lol. And if you drafted Conner Cook in the early 5th (he actually went early 4th) you would gain about 30 or so points
Comical....the guy stealing Prescott in the early 4th in our draft would get destroyed by the guy taking Cook in the 5th.
All in good fun though.
I need a drink just explaining it!
I'm sure they did. I'll try to look it up.JC, did anyone take Dak last year in last year's mock?
I looked it upJC, did anyone take Dak last year in last year's mock?
I looked it up
Oh Canada took Dak with the 87th pick. Great pick in hindsite but he got clobbered in the numerical after draft scoring for taking him > a round early
Meanwhile, Chris in Arizona had the Cowboys taking Goff with the 4th overall pick...and the scoring gave him 3 points for getting him later than 1st overall

Just got in my bros. Gotta apologize I've been slacking the last two weeks. It's been a little hectic but I'm looking forward to catching up w the beer crew
