Only someone ignorant would split carries 50/50 between a washed up RB and a probowl RB

Maybe 70/30 We gotta max out the best players and these guys aren't even close to being equal.

It's time to pass the torch sorry

I'm glad the #2 RB got voted into the Pro Bowl over the #1 RB

It just goes to show how sdupid that Next man up philosophy really is at times

We're not winning beans just selling Tickets and Hype/Hope

Give someone else a chance between the 20's that actually has a shot of making some big plays cuz Zeke is
D. O. N. E

If we're not contenders at least we can watch Pollard chase the rushing record ha ha ha

You usually ridicule dumb fans opinion and expertise. Suddenly you are praising it.

Odd.

I agree with the posters claiming Pollard is the better back at this point…he clearly is and just about every metric out there backs it up.

That being said - we have an awesome 1-2 punch. Maybe one of the best in football. Zeke is still a good back, just not elite like he used to be.

The problem is Zeke is incredibly overpaid. You simply can’t pay a RB as much as he makes when it comes down to roster management.

The most lasting memories I have of Zeke are Pittsburgh his rookie year and getting stuffed hard by freaking Jaylon Smith.

Oh and don’t the “feed me” and then tapping out of the game, that was pretty funny

I just state the facts. I'm sorry if It offends. My eyes and my mouth are in alignment. Js

And I like Zeke. But I used to like Emmitt and Dez too. Js

I thought zeke was washed up 2 years ago and esp after last year's playoffs.

I thought Pollard was better 2yrs ago and has been held back. Urgh

Tbh I woulda cut bait before this year and ate the 16 million just like the Rams did Gurley. Oof

Cap money is just monopoly money imo and It doesn't matter what these guys make if the sauce is not there

Sometimes youre gonna lose money on bad contracts and slow avg Rbs are a dime a dozen

It's all about winning and the talent level and bringing in and developing new younger talent and competition so we can win something. Not clinging to our bad investments.

Sure we could keep Zeke but he's just a progress stopper to much better backs who CAN GO ALL THE WAY!!

He's just a short yardage specialist and blocker who has little business getting more than 15-20% of the snaps imo

I'd rather Shoot for and develop 2 top rbs while our run blocking oline is still great. Most backs could avg 4 yards + behind this oline.

Id like to see more of our Pro Bowl RB on the field first and foremost. Using Pollard at least 65-70% of the time.

Then I'd split carries with Davis and Zeke but I'm rolling with 3 rbs weekly and finding their niche.

Davis has had flashes and might improve if he gets some work js

Zeke is Slooow and everytime I see him run through the hole I'm thinking if that was Pollard or Davis they'ed be off to the races!!

Davis also has better stat averages than Zeke at running and Passing. Btw

And he's not getting a bigger load either. Just wasting away in Margaritaville

We're just gonna set it and forget it and limp into the playoffs with one legged Zeke again why our 2 better rbs are on the bench more than 1/2 the time. Lmao.

Show me that Pollard and Davis are not the better tandem.

My old eyes haven't deceived me yet. I just need to see a BIGGER WORKLOAD and less of the 16 million dollar 35 yard playoff RB I saw last year. Urgh

Yeah good luck convincing the people that hate of that. Yes they need to reduce his salary and his cap hit.. but the whole crusade to run him out of Dallas is just dumb. The guy's a good and complete football player who is unselfish and tough as nails. You can never have enough of that type of player.
He's been a great Cowboy. He plays hurt, blocks great - and thats about team not stats. That brief period that they decided to use him as a receiver out of the backfield he looked good doing that too. He's the most complete back Ive seen here since Emmitt. I loved Marion the Barbarian but he didn't do all those other things like Zeke. I too want to see him on this team next year and beyond but that will ultimately be up to him. He is going to have to be willing to restructure his contract in order for that to happen. At his current cap hit, Im afraid he'd be cut.

Did i say that?

I dont remember saying zeke is as fast and stat filled as his rookie year.

Lets argue what i never said!

Zeke
188 carries 774 yards 4.1 avg 10 Tds (Longest run 27 yards)
16 receptions 86 yards 5.4 avg 0 tds (longest pass 31 yards)

Pollard *
177 carries 969 yards 5.5 Avg 9 Tds (Longest run 57 yards)
33 receptions 310 yds 9.4 avg
3 Tds (Longest pass 68 yards)

Davis
23 Carries 103 yards 4.5 avg
1 TD (Longest Run 23 Yards)
4 receptions 40 yards 10 avg
0 Tds (Longest pass 14 Yards)

* Pro Bowl 2022

Here is the Black and White stats

Both Pollard and Davis have higher rushing and receiving Stat averages than Zeke

Based upon the stats both Pollard and Davis should be getting more opportunities.

Especially the PRO BOWLER

Our 3rd string running back is avg 4.5 yards per carry. So like I said just about any starting RB in the league with some decent speed could avg 4.5 yards per carry behind this oline.

Our oline isn't great at pass protection but it will make an avg RB or QB look really good rushing.

This is the best rushing oline we've had in a long time imo.

I'd still like to see Tyron Lt and Tyler Lg lined up next to one another in some short yardage situations run blocking.

Those are 2 big maulers.

We don't need a battering ram to wear anybody down I promise ya

And that is fine. I have (almost) no issue with your stats.

The problem? You ignore the expectations, the situational play calling. What PLAYS do these players excel at? WHat is expected of them? What do the coaches call? How do the other players perform during these plays?

Tony Pollard is a very good RB. He has flash and speed that surprises both the defense and us! Not sure why you are making some competitive argumentative stance on this.

And in fact he deserved paid

THEN...you will hate him as much as you do Zeke.

You say Tony has been "held back"....

But not Zeke. It shows your bias.

Under KM..they have BOTH been "held back".

Real football knowledge knows this.
