Maybe they have a blue pill for dead legs! LolI'm not saying your suggestion is outlandish from what you are talking football wise. So hope you didn't take it that way. I just think the guys ability to produce what you are talking about is gone. I think his legs are dead and he just doesn't have much to offer that we couldn't have someone else try. Now if we get into the season and that part of the puzzle is missing and not going well and he is out there...maybe. But right now with the money he's collected etc I'm not sure either side goes there.
You know they’re busy right, and hang all the time… Y’all are goofyTime to move on, in my opinion.
Pollard doesn't need Zeke hover over him...
That's what I said.....so, you agree?Absolutely not. Zeke is done.
He may give you a good 4 games and after that he’s nothing but a blocker and short yardage player.
and the correct answer is...............please see above. No thanks. There’s a reason 31 other teams have passed on Zeke so far. We Need to move on.
It's simple.. Every time he has a good game it will prove them wrong and as you know that is the worst thing that could happen to some of these people as they have never been wrong about anything in their entire lives. They would not survive it. Have some empathy my man.I agree. I'd take him to camp. He comes out as the best or one of the best backs you bring him in. Not sure why people are so scared to see what he can do.
There's a reason he's available.He's available.
Go get him.
I like Zeke, big fan. But the fact that he's still sitting in FA should tell you all you need to know about what other teams think of him right now. Tell you what though, if he sat out a year or even most of this year and let his body completely heal up from the absolute demolishing it took carrying the team in his early years, then I'd actually like the idea of bringing him in fresh as a short yardage guy on a cheap contract, maybe around playoff time?I know a little football and I think Zeke can still serve a purpose. With a good contract and a new direction, he can really help.
At this stage, I see him as a great short yard, tough runner...which we don't have....I also see him as an HBack type player...he's a good blocker...part time fullback and he can actually line up on the flex TE position....he had great hands.....I'd love this role for him.....my bud @CowboyRoy is gonna kill me, but that's my take.
Wow! I hadn't seen that...there's a lot that goes on in a locker room and film room that some don't get. Leadership is very important.I agree Ranching. He's more than the 50 yards a game he gives you.
He's the locker room barometer.
He's the good teammate.
He's the mood setter.
He's the guy that does whatever you ask that they don't have metrics for.
Troy Aikman agrees....
“I’ve talked to a number of people that have been in that locker room- coaches, players- and he’s the glue,” the Hall of Famer continued. “Losing those type of players- I’ve said it before- you don’t replace those guys. It’s really, really hard. We had some when I was playing: didn’t contribute much on the field during the games- he obviously would contribute more- but those that didn’t, they had a really big role in allowing us to do what we were able to do, and I think Zeke’s one of those people.”
I was fine with Zeke back on a vet minimum type deal before the draft, but now I'd say wait. What you basically just described to a tee is the guy we just signed from North Dakota State, Hunter Luepke. But there is one big difference: Zeke isn't running down on kickoff and punt teams. If you are carrying 3 plus RBs on a game day roster you need them doing so. Also, I really don't see Zeke playing the HB/TE role well that you outlined while Luepke already has done both. Now is Luepke good enough to be a RB getting 5 plus touches in an NFL game? That I don't know. At this point I'd call Zeke in July if he is still there and our young guys don't pan out. Right now I'd prefer to wait and leave the circus out of camp until we find out it's needed (if we do)I know a little football and I think Zeke can still serve a purpose. With a good contract and a new direction, he can really help.

The other teams in the league don't know Zeke? They don't know Zeke!
There are many reasons he's available. There's a reason he's available.
I’d agree for a minimum veteran salary.I know a little football and I think Zeke can still serve a purpose. With a good contract and a new direction, he can really help.
