In the real world....not Madden...it's not all about stats. The other teams in the league don't know Zeke?
In what possible universe??????

I agree....but, Zeke brings a leadership role that can help if we want to compete for a championship..I was fine with Zeke back on a vet minimum type deal before the draft, but now I'd say wait. What you basically just described to a tee is the guy we just signed from North Dakota State, Hunter Luepke. But there is one big difference: Zeke isn't running down on kickoff and punt teams. If you are carrying 3 plus RBs on a game day roster you need them doing so. Also, I really don't see Zeke playing the HB/TE role well that you outlined while Luepke already has done both. Now is Luepke good enough to be a RB getting 5 plus touches in an NFL game? That I don't know. At this point I'd call Zeke in July if he is still there and our young guys don't pan out. Right now I'd prefer to wait and leave the circus out of camp until we find out it's needed (if we do)
Do we really want to win a championship without Dak and ZekeI agree....but, Zeke brings a leadership role that can help if we want to compete for a championship..
I'll take anyway I can get it!! LolDo we really want to win a championship without Dak and Zeke
I don’t know if it would be the same without both of them. Maybe we could give him an honorary ring. At least put him on practice squad.I'll take anyway I can get it!! Lol
I just respect the way that he played through injuries when he could have sat on the bench and collect a paycheck. I respect that.I don’t know if it would be the same without both of them. Maybe we could give him an honorary ring. At least put him on practice squad.
Who? Do we need 4 TEs.....do we have a FB on the roster that isn't an olinmen?Last season was the tipping point for me. Up until then, he was overpaid, but had something to offer.
If you bring back Zeke, how many RB's are on the 53 man roster?
1) Pollard
2) Zeke
3) ?
4) ??
Seems like you are cutting somebody better than Zeke
No. Move on.I know a little football and I think Zeke can still serve a purpose. With a good contract and a new direction, he can really help.
At this stage, I see him as a great short yard, tough runner...which we don't have....I also see him as an HBack type player...he's a good blocker...part time fullback and he can actually line up on the flex TE position....he had great hands.....I'd love this role for him.....my bud @CowboyRoy is gonna kill me, but that's my take.
Lol whatI hate to say it, but bring him back if it can be done on a deal hovering around $3-5 mil a year. It would fill a pretty major hole in the roster right now and this team will need another veteran running back going into the year. Probably makes more sense to re-sign him than some other random vet floating around out there.
Zeke can be effective with 5-10 carries a game when he is deployed in a situational role. Short yardage, pass protection, goal line, etc.
Let's say we have 3 TE's.Who? Do we need 4 TEs.....do we have a FB on the roster that isn't an olinmen?
Oh, ok. Well, if you know football. That settles the argument.Like I said, I know football.....apparently many don't. It's cool.
He was injured the better half of the last 2 seasons. When he is then he is clearly not himself. Big drop off. But when he is healthy he still can play. Not the same player anymore but can still be the short yardage and blocking RB. If used right he can help this team at a low price for his skills. We have a little lightning bolt and a undrafted RB that looks for contact. He can and will if allowed to be a good part for this team. No need to force feed him if he can’t be the same player. Let’s see how training camp shakes out.I know a little football and I think Zeke can still serve a purpose. With a good contract and a new direction, he can really help.

Actually, Zeke in the backfield doesn't scare anyone. It also limits Dak. When the D see's Zeke back there, the defense can just focus solely on Dak because Zeke isn't getting more than a few yards before help shows up to tackle. No thanks, we need someone in the backfield that actually helps keep the D honest which, in turn, helps Dak. Something you are all for.I know a little football and I think Zeke can still serve a purpose. With a good contract and a new direction, he can really help.

I hope Pollard is gonna be the same after his latest injury. I wonder if Elliot’s knee is worse than people realize. You see the moves but for sure not the same burst. I watched him get tackled twice the same way Dak and Pollard got tackled. Couldn’t believe his leg was not broken.folks need to understand hes done. His legs are dead and backs like him are a dime a dozen. If we sign him, who we cutting in the rb room?
