I wish we had Justin Fields

Time to reboot that system again OP, apparently its snagged and isnt constant.....

If the Steelers front office is so much better than Jerry, why haven't they won a playoff game since the 2016 season?
Having a great owner and organization doesn't guarantee you constant success year after year after year.

It's the same organization that's won 2 superbowls and played in 6 conference championship games this century, which means quite a lot considering that was during Tom Brady's peak years. We haven't sniffed a single Conference Championship Game...against lower competition.

They are unquestionably and unanimously considered a top notch, well respected, stable organization, and well within the Top 10 Teams this century as far as success.

We...are not ...obviously....as very few teams are lower on the totem pole than us when it comes to success this century, when playoff success is factored in. We're in a small group that haven't even gone to a conference championship game.

Hope that answers your question (spoiler alert..... it does)

There I said.

I think we blew it by not going after Justin Fields in the offseason. Trading for Lance hasn't worked out, and now we're stuck with an overpaid QB and not enough talent around him.

Fields could have pushed Dak to step up his game and given us some much-needed leverage. Instead, we're left wondering "what if?" as other teams thrive with younger QB talent.

Did we miss our chance to get a equal or better QB that is cheaper than Dak? I think so.
jerry never had any intention of getting another qb to replace dak.
I think lance was for a bkup or development.

Hold up everyone. Cut the OP some slack. Justin fields would be the best RB on the cowboys roster right now if they signed him.

2016. That was 8 seasons ago since they won a playoff game. That is a long time in football years. More is to be expected from a great owner and organization. If you are holding them to a higher standard than Jerry, then they are failing as much as he is.

OK Jerry, LOL

Your the best GM in the NFL

I think he was thinking about it after Dak laid another playoff egg at home against a 9-8 GB team. How could he not entertain the thought of moving on rather than giving Dak a stupid , over-the-top contract after that performance?

What happened is Jerry couldn't make a decision after the season so he did nothing to upgrade the roster and waited eagerly to see Lance in the pre-season. I think if Lance had looked good this preseason, Dak wouldnt have a new contract.

So you want to blow it twice??? We already made the mistake once with Trance.

Right, because that is what I said. You want to give the Steelers all this credit, but they haven't won a playoff game in a longer time period than Dallas. Why should the Cowboys strive for that level of greatness? Plus you want to give them all this credit for acquiring Justin Fields, but ignore the fact they wasted a first round pick on Kenny Freakin Pickett. Greatness. Be critical of Jerry, but keep up that same level of criticism before praising other organizations.

Ha! Justin Fields is garbage. Yep, I said it. He's a glorified RB. The lowly Chicago Bears didn't want him. Lol...I can't believe I read this.

"I want to give them all this credit for getting Justin Fields"?

You mean, the part where I said that if I was GM I wouldn't get either of them, but if I HAD to get one of them, better to give a 6th than a 4th?

The Steelers, similar to the Ravens, are a stable, WELL RESPECTED, serious organization that is run like a Fortune500 company. Sure they will have lulls, all teams do. But they're still quality even during the lulls.

IMO we aren't run like a fortune 500 company. We're run like a circus led by a dictator who'd rather lose on his own than win with someone else getting a chunk of the credit.

If u feel differently...that's ur perog

we got Lance.

Fields is basically trey Lance. I wanted to move on from Dak but not for Justin fields

I wish we had Carson Wentz or Tyrod Taylor.
