If a SB win, would this be the best Cowboys team all time?

As others have stated, it would be the weakest of all of the Super Bowl winners. Those teams of the 90s were monsters. The rosters of the 70s teams read like a list of members of the NFL Hall of Fame.

I mean, I’d still take it.

This is quite possibly the silliest thread in forum history.

Dallas basically just lost their 3rd game in a row and has been been slaughtered twice this season.

I mean, what? Lol

I'm really not sure how after watching that game against the Lions how anybody could possibly think of this as a great team.

In all honesty that game made me sick at my stomach to know my great Cowboys from the '70s were forced to sit there and watch a truly embarrassing coaching travesty at the end of that game.

I will give you this this team's kicking game is as good if not better than any I have ever witnessed.

Beyond that my '70s Cowboys were led by military trained men that could think on their feet and won as many games by using their head as they did by pure talent which we had an abundance of.

Its just a hypothetical for the fans that are about to say "lets win a playoff game first".
Nobody is saying the Cowboys will win the SB so chill yourselves out.

In a hypothetical situation if the cowboys won the SB this year, where would you rank this team amongst the other SB winning teams?

I for one would put this team higher based on the competition in the playoffs and a more difficult era of football compared to years past.

I know some might say well those cowboys teams had great competition but teams such as the 49ers and ravens today would have been super teams back in those days.

Yes there were some amazing defenses back then but do we really believe those team back then would have stood any chance in todays game? I dont.

Yes todays game is different and different era's yadda yadda, but based on difficulty of todays game and era, a cowboys SB win would imo rank them high.

I believe any team that can SB with the like a ravens and 9ers team lurking about should be considered a pretty damn good team for the 23-24 season, if a team other than the ravens or 9ers win the SB.

Will dallas win the SB? maybe not likely, but i just had an hypothetical brainstorm!
LOL, are you 10?

It might be the best “Teame” but not even close to the best “team”

Ed too tall Jones Harvey Martin Randy White and if Thomas Henderson only had a Twitter account back then.

Could we run the ball I think we had Tony dorsett
Were we well coached I think we had Tom Landry
Was there ever a debate about us having an elite quarterback only the best player in cowboy history.

And if you don't believe me check the names of the players from our '70s teams that are in the Hall of Fame and the teams we played like the Steelers

First thing I think of is These kids nowadays can’t take a hit without crying about it! They would’ve been BROKEN in years past. I’m all about the modern ath. But the toughness has left the football universe. These WR’s would be dead if they went across the middle with guys like Lewis, LT, Lott, Woodson, etc waiting on them.

I don't think so. Not based on what we've seen. We have almost no running game. Our offensive line is pretty weak. Our defense is still really weak up the middle. We are missing our CB #1 something terrible the last few weeks. Our pass rush has really slowed down as well. Lamb is everything you could have hoped he would be. Aubrey is rewriting record books. Dak is playing the best football of his career and that will have to continue to win some games in the playoffs.

If we are going to take a step forward this year, we have to peak...right here...right now. We have to get better just to win. We are a long way from being the best Cowboys' team ever at this point.

To who. 92, 93, 95 had bad losses too. You make a lot of ridiculous points. This team is not better than those but let's not act like our past SB teams were perfect.

Not even close, this team does not come close to the talent and discipline of the 70's and 90's teams.

They didn't get curb-stomped like this team does against elite teams.

92 lost to the Eagles 31-7 and to a bad Rams team at home
93 lost to the Commanders 35-15 and Falcons 27-14
95 lost to a bad Commanders team TWICE!!! and Elvis Grbac and the Niners 38-20

You don't know what you are talking about per usual.

mod edit, removed last line. Good post, so removed last line So post could be kept.
