I don't need to rewatch that season I've already seen it and it ended in a Super Bowl victory. You need to re-watch saying they weren't that good and they got lucky. I don't know how a team gets lucky winning every playoff game by double digits.

That was a difficult season, but they had enough pedigree left to beat an off league that year. Neil O'Donnell went to the Super Bowl, for crying out loud. He's the only reason we won.

The 92-93 teams would have killed that team. And all three would kill this year's team.

When I start a thread I have to be ready for an array of varied viewpoints and resolve not to take responses personally (unless they’re overtly personal in nature - ad hominem invective and such). Its just a hypothetical for the fans that are about to say "lets win a playoff game first".
Nobody is saying the Cowboys will win the SB so chill yourselves out.

In a hypothetical situation if the cowboys won the SB this year, where would you rank this team amongst the other SB winning teams?

I for one would put this team higher based on the competition in the playoffs and a more difficult era of football compared to years past.

I know some might say well those cowboys teams had great competition but teams such as the 49ers and ravens today would have been super teams back in those days.

Yes there were some amazing defenses back then but do we really believe those team back then would have stood any chance in todays game? I dont.

Yes todays game is different and different era's yadda yadda, but based on difficulty of todays game and era, a cowboys SB win would imo rank them high.

I believe any team that can SB with the like a ravens and 9ers team lurking about should be considered a pretty damn good team for the 23-24 season, if a team other than the ravens or 9ers win the SB.

Will dallas win the SB? maybe not likely, but i just had an hypothetical brainstorm!

The 95 team was the start of the demise, they were lucky to not draw the niners in the playoffs and take Deon away from them. The lack of discipline was starting to show and its a credit to the leaders on the team like Aikman that they would actually win the SB, although O'Donnell helped the cause.

Probably my least favorite SB winning team, but a rings a ring.

No. It wouldnt. The 77 team and the 1992 team . Id even still put that 2014 team up there with the 92 team anyday. I know we didnt advance but it was a fluke. The 2014 team would hammer this team. That team ran the hell outta the rock and bullied teams like Seattle.

Switzer infected the team with poor team discipline in 1996 and it showed. We never recovered.
