If CLE trades for Mariota, does Jerry trade for Manziel?

With more offensive power and talent I think Johnny could do decent. With sure handed catchers like Dez, Witten, Beasley and Escobar I think he could pass the ball. Not to mention the best OL and run game

Last year I was really happy that they passed on him. This year, if we could get him for a 5th and a conditional pick next year (based on playing time) then yes I would. As a prospect he is still better than any QB they could reasonably reasonably grab in this draft and he cannot be worse than the train wreck that is Weeden. No one would call for his name while Romo is on the field, so he can sit and develop.

Hi, my name is Bill Gates, AKA: Fredd on this site. If Manziel is never mentioned again on this site in relation to playing for Dallas, I will give each member the sum of $1m dollars. thank you.

(side note: STOP IT, STOP It, STOP IT!!!!!!!! HE isn't going to play for Dallas! He is worthless as an NFL player. Knew prior to draft 2014, know it now)

I would guess they wouldn't give up anything valuable for such a unpredictable player. But given the right circumstance, Jerry would gamble.... a conditional pick, no higher than a 5, most likely a 7 maybe...... I doubt Cleveland is going to move him this year, and I doubt Dallas is going to make a move for him.

It is very rare that any quarterback receives that degree of universal respect from fans, media, etc. The recent kumbaya shouldn't fool anyone as far as Romo is concerned. There are people waiting to demote Romo publicly regardless of how the team itself performs. Heck. A handful of them are members of CowboysZone. lol.

Why? When it is just a matter of time before he is cut. FWIW Roger Staubach thinks he can play.

I wonder if Roger, himself would come back...I think he'd be the better of the two...

How can a "conditional pick" based on playing time realistically be part of the deal? If by some odd circumstance we were to get him, he would be the 3rd QB and would likely get no playing time. He's simply not ready to even be a backup at his point, much less a starter. All JMO, of course.
