If Dak has a year like last year, this will be his final year with the team

No, it won't! Assuming like in 2022 Dakota Prescott is QB1, Cowboys earn a play-off Berth and improve by one Win in the playoffs into NFCG then NO, this will not be Prescott's last year...

Unlike most Dak Haters, rationale and knowledgeable Football fans know on the scale of Progression Production and Performance, Dakota Prescott career is tracking with Peyton Manning and other successful starting QBs.
Dak year seven: 23 TD passes, 15 INTs, 91.1 passer rating, 8-4 regular season record.

Peyton year seven: 49 TD passes, 10 INTs, 121.1 passer rating, 12-4 regular season record.

Those look very different to me.

What happened? Are you saying all his skills were gone after two years? Doesn't make sense. He wasn't THAT good to start with. Again, wide open spaces his first couple seasons. He couldn't do the same things after the line deteriorated, not to mention he had trouble shedding tacklers after year 2. Diminishing returns.
The man said, and you’re perpetuating, the idea that Zeke was some spare RB early on and that’s simply wrong.

Cmon jazz I know you’re a zeke homer and he was a stud but look at the numbers of the 2015 rbbc they also did very well

It was the line zeke was good Murray was good the line was great

The loss of Leary first then tfred and Tyron’s injuries changed things

Then moore trying to get cute
That line was SUPERB! I mean that's how it works. Win in the trenches they say. We've barely even half-arsed addressed this deteriorating o line since and we better pronto. Make Tony "showcase his speed to the outside"...AGAIN? Not gonna work as #1 RB.

Oh wait...zeke's fault! never mind. :)

I think Dak is going to tear it up because he's going to be doing some of the things he did his rookie yr. When everybody was on him about dink n dak. But nobody could stop them.

Truth be told this team should've won atleast 1 SB with dak and Elliot, no question. Just haven't had the coaching.
Jerry decided to let KM (literally he said this) "learn on the job". Wasted those two together.

Lol clearly you've never read anything fromme. Because nobody in this forum would say I've typed any kind of hate towards dak. Most call me a homer. But go about your business.
There's a couple guys that bully their way through this forum with "hate" accusations. If you don't say exactly what they tell ya.

It's really against the rules to harass forum members like that but what can ya do?

If they want that to happen, then they best get a RB that is similar to Zeke, in his rookie season. Because Pollard is not that RB. Unless MM has a super good game plan different from the Moore / Garrett / Linehan plan.
Need to fix this o-line. Any RB needs some good holes just ask Emmitt or.... Barry.

The running game got worse when Frederick retired and Tyron started missing multiple games every year. It went in the toilet after that pretty much. Zeke's two yards and a cloud of dust didn't exactly scare defenses into loading boxes the last 5 years. That changes with Pollard. Zeke leaving is the best thing for the offense in years.
Absolutely changes NOTHING with Pollard. He needs holes up the middle. Bouncing outside ain't gonna cut it. (instead of chewing up REAL yards UP THE FIELD!)

Tony had BARELY more success straight up the middle....when defenses key and scheme on him as #1 rb it's gonna get tougher.

Fix this o'line and run scheme.Tony and company will be ok.

Who you gonna replace him with? Serious question. What would you do? The team is good enough to go to the playoffs every year with Dak now. Who are they going to plug and play? You can't just say ANYONE... I guess you could and some absolutely will. That's why they are on a fan forum chat room and not working in professional sports but I digress...
Get ready for the Cooper Rush response

Enjoy Dak's last season as sure as the sun will rise he will follow Zeke as a pre-June 1st 2024 cut.
Talent is lacking and the facade is almost over!
P.S. After 8 years of Mr.Goodwill and sauce it will be a pleasure having him not even find a starting job after the Boys release him.
. You've been saying this since his rookie season. I guess if you stay consistent you'll be right at some point.

But all those guys cost $$$.

I thought the point of the OPs com
Maybe, but not many QBs will cost as much as Dak will, and a guy like Cousins at 36 years old for example may have to settle for 1-2 year deal. Now that may not actually be the best case scenario for the Cowboys as they may actually prefer a longer deal to spread money out more, but it's also possible that they would prefer a bridge QB to pay on a shorter deal while a young guy sits and develops. That 2nd option also allows them to backload deals for guys like Parsons, Diggs, Lamb, etc so the big money on them kicks in the same time Daks dead money would be off the books and a rookie QB deal takes over for whoever the new guy would be.

My guess is that Dak is here for the next few years, but my overall point is that if the Cowboys really want to move on they should have options.

You won't find a bigger Dak fan anywhere then me. But even I can see the writing on he wall. He's not Jerrys choice. I've said this since his rookie yr. Jerry wouldn't even entertain the idea of having him starter over Romo even with him t taking the league by storm that first yr. AND it's not like Jerry doesn't throw a sunrise jab at da fk every chance he gets. I think that contract negotiation and his agent hoping the price every time they talk he was the last straw for Jerry.

If he has a yr anywhere like last yr, this will ge his final yr with the team IMO. He has 61 mil still guaranteed, and a 59mil cap hit next yr. So they can make him a June cut and save 28.5mil. Get 28.5 mil in june to sign guys like Ceedee and Diggs. Of course you have a huge hole but it is and eat it is.

https://titanswire.usatoday.com/2023/03/01/tennessee-titans-salary-cap-space-2024
Overthecap is projecting 256mil cap in 2024 and Dallas has 46 players under contract. Which means Dallas has the 51 cap number basically set. As of right now Dallas has 6.4mil in caproom another 6 in June. Dallas will need around 3mil to pay their rookies. So take 9mil in rollover for 2024. With OTC projections Dallas could walk into 2024 with a 265 mil adjected cap with 212mil already allocated. So they can have 43mil in cap space.

Now say Dak is just not getting it done, moving on from him wouldn't kill the team because they've drafted so good. The majority of the team is on rookie deals. This forum has hated this deal since it was signed because they saw 40mil AAV, but he's had 21Mil AAV since signing his deal and we're in yr 3 of 4. This shows you this team knows what they're doing with their contracts. Yeah 30mil is a big chunk, but it's alot better than 59mil. And that's 30mil for nothing just dead money if he's gone. But it doesn't kill you because you have 46 players already signed. And the core is already under contract.
Our most successful season in years. Lol

Looks like you can't read the writing at all

Only in Dallas, the fans want to get rid of the qb that led them to back to back 12 wins season. He didn't fare well in the SF game, but he didn't have much help after Pollard went down. The week before he annihilated the Tom Brady led team.
Dak is a stud. Isnt going anywhere. Cry babies can cry about winning all they want.

Facts are, Zeke was a JAG as soon as the line became average. Pollard is better and more dynamic from day #1. You can't just broad paint brush that bouncing it outside isn't a good trait. Pollard can do that, Zeke never really could. Also Pollard is absolutely superior at making tacklers miss compared to Zeke ever was. Pollard checks a lot more boxes than Zeke except maybe blitz pickup. Zeke the $90 million blocker...

Who would you like to "miracle" to the Cowboys as QB??
we all know that the next mahomes or Burrow doesn’t happen everyday but this team has neglecting the Qb position for years and it has nothing to do with Dakota

in the last 2 decades the highest we’ve drafted a qb was in the 4th round. That’s a disgrace and a disservice to the fans. This FO has purposely refused to have any competition at the QB position and we’ve seen the results.

let this sink in……since 2012 we’ve only drafted 2 quarterbacks. Prescott and DeNucci ….seriously?

people think that it takes a miracle to get that next franchise quarterback that can have a better play-off record than the last 2 guys here which is 4-8…..it doesn’t take a miracle if they DRAFT quarterbacks before the 4th damn round!

On track with Manning? Last year was a success....leading the league in INT'sand choking away the SF playoff game? Damn man, Dak's marbles are blinding you.
Says the ace that predicted we would win only 8 games! :lmao::lmao::laugh::laugh:

When you can predict well enough to get within 2 games ket me know.
