If Dak has a year like last year, this will be his final year with the team

There’s been a number of fans saying we need to move on from Dak and find our Mahomes as if that’s going to be easy. I’m convinced some fans on this board think QBs like Mahomes grow on trees.
They clearly don't remember the "dark times" after Aikman retired. The list of QB's after him until Romo is probably what it will be like again. Maybe not but count me as not emphatically rooting for those times again. I need to see another QB clearly ready to go.

Only in Dallas, the fans want to get rid of the qb that led them to back to back 12 wins season. He didn't fare well in the SF game, but he didn't have much help after Pollard went down. The week before he annihilated the Tom Brady led team.
The practice squad QB went 4-1 last season. The other guy didn't win 12 games with the team last season. Embarrassing yet expected that his desperate fans include wins that had nothing to do with him. He was nursing his thumb at the time whilst Rodgers sucked it up and carried on playing with his broken thumb. Even A Rod has a stronger mentality than #4

Our most successful season in years. Lol

Looks like you can't read the writing at all
It was successful, and he played a big part in the loss. They got rid of the other big part.

Do I think this will happen, of course not. But I'm not ignorant to say it couldnt and shouldn't if he's still making the same mistakes.

….and replaced with whom?

Last we heard an extension would be like a mob hit, wouldn’t see it coming.

I’d expect that much more than a parting of the ways.

Amazes me how many fans want to dump Dak with no replacement in house and become a six win team for until you get lucky again.

It very much stands to reason that he can limit the picks, as he has done it earlier in his career. Moore being gone should help.
I really don't know. Gosh it would be near mission impossible to replace #4. It's not as if a gash practice squad QB went 4-1 with the same roster...hang on...

Don’t know how anyone could forget those dark times after Aikman, I’m thinking some of these fans weren’t around back then watching the Cowboys playing musical chairs at QB between 2000 and 2006. Don’t ever want to see the team go through that again, but eventually they will. The Cowboys have been fortunate at the position. Just look at what Washington, the Jets and a few other teams are going through. The fans that keep complaining about our QB situation need to look at those teams.

One game cherry picker as usual. I have an entire career and entire season to go on.

When was the last time the Cowboys made the playoffs 2 years in a row? 12-5 in back to back years making the 2nd round. Dak throwing for 300 yards and 5 TD's in the drubbing of the GOAT Brady who we couldnt beat. On the road.

Losing in a close game to the #1 defense in the NFL with the horrid Zeke as the only back and zero run game. Not a big deal. The Niners were the better team. It was predictable.

Were you one of the 8 wins or less guys in the prediction thread? I would be willing to bet you were.

Yep...I don't mind people wanting to find better than Dak but get someone on the roster to compete, stop wishing for miracles otherwise.

People act like Dak is so irreplaceable! Sure replacing those 50 point romps in the NFC east would come to an end. But those 9,10,12 point dog games against better teams won't be hard to replace. Almost any NFL QB could score that many points. Dallas would of beaten the 49ers if they had Sam Darnold. I mean that was just pathetic. That crap performance can easily be replaced.

Lol somebody saying I'm critical of dak, and I'm a pessimist of this team is something I haven't been called. Dak is my favorite active player just to let you know. Everyone knows this. Seems like you argue with too many people to keep track of who is who.

Exactly this.
People either understand or they refuse to for their own personal reasons.

#4 isn't even durable any longer and he has lost the mobility that once made him almost useful.

Everyone is replaceable but you diarrhea whiners offer ZERO solutions.... Sam Darnold?!?!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Why didn't Jerry replace Aikman? You trust them to get the right QB again? You obviously don't know pain yet.

I would love a QB better than Dak, we all would but I’m certainly not going to move on from him until I find a better QB than him. I’m not about to downgrade at QB to satisfy the fans that want a cheaper cap number at the position.

He didn't lose it, he just don't run. When he does you wonder why he doesn't more. Because he can get it, and these dbs aren't trying to hit him. He's a big guy lol.

Demarco Murray ran pretty well behind Frederick and Zach too. That line/scheme was good. I think the narrative is in the middle. Zeke wasn't as great as some people say and he wasn't bad as some others say. I think he was a flash in the pan that had the benefit of an amazing Core offensive line. It got a lot of people excited and they put his name on their backs.. so I understand why some defend him so ardently. No biggie. I don't hate the guy, just don't think he was ever THAT amazing is all.
Losing Callahan probably hurt us a bit as well

LOL..........You are probably right. That being said your hyper criticism is unfounded.

Dak isnt my favorite active player. Not even close. I just understand the value and rarity of a top 10 QB in the NFL.

If there is one thing I dont forget its the Quincy Carter Chad Hutchinson, Testicleverde years.

If we move on from Dak, its more than likely exactly right back where we are going to be. I know the trolls think we can just draft an elite QB every year. Some of us understand going back to Quincy Bong Carter is more likely.

We have already offered solutions in the past. I'm not going to bang on and on with solutions when #4 will be kept in place. It just gets boring.

For starters I wrote countless posts how Hurts should have been drafted in the second round. We could have ridden his rookie contract the past two seasons and worst case scenario reach the Superbowl last season.
