If Dak is average in 2019 and we don't come close to a Super Bowl

Haha that is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard. Someone else can explain it to you since you are having a difficult time. You are going on ignore now, goodbye.

If he hasn't missed any games with Dak as a coach, how can Dak be included in JG 1-11 coaching record without Romo, i'll let you explain. If Dak has missed games and JG didn't win without him then fine but that isn't the case...is it

You win games in the 4th quarter so yes thats all that matters is can you win the game. Perhaps a beauty pageant is more your style than football. Fantasy football has ruined the actual game of football, people think you have to have these huge games or you are garbage.

Would you rather have a guy throw 400 yards 6 TDs and lose the game or would you rather have a guy throw 250 yards 3 total TDs and win the game?
I haven't participated in fantasy football since the 2011 season and I don't even bother to look up player points either. Maybe you didn't understand what I was saying. I'd rather have a guy show up for 75% of the game, regardless of when it happens, than only have a guy sometimes make a few plays in the 4th quarter and they hold onto that for a win.

You should ask him why the guy lost if he threw for 400 yards and 6 TD's....lol

why would you be opposed to drafting a replacement in the 2020 draft or allowing one of the current backups to get a chance to start and letting Dak walk? This is assuming he doesn't get paid this year but will be in 2020. I would really like to hear why Dak would be worth keeping at that point.
Because the kid is an absolute winner. He finally took over this team it's his. I no longer have expectations of failure with him on the field when something goes a little bit backwards. The camaraderie in the locker room alone is priceless. 24 years old at the beginning of last season and he still learning. Imagine how great he can be. Do you know how hard it is to be average for so long consistently. Teams go to the Superbowl and don't even make the playoffs for the next 3 Seasons. This team constantly fights go Cowboys

I would actually draft a quarterback every single season do you know how many great quarterbacks come out of the late rounds. Competition is always great but it's going to take somebody really good to replace Prescott especially a rookie

There's a reason why they don't turn Prescott loose until the 4th quarter. With this young defense they don't want to expose them for that long of a time that we don't want to score too quickly. You have to understand what we're trying to achieve each Sunday. We don't care about fantasy numbers as it's about winning

Not as many who come out of the 1st round, that is a proven fact in the Draft. I would however have zero issues with drafting a QB every year no matter what the round

Yes but who wouldn't mind giving up a sixth-round pick and not having it work out that's the point yes you expect a first-round pick to play right away

We are the best team at being average. We don't have many slumps and rarely do we exceed higher than 7-9 to 9-7. I guess those are your expectations because I'm really tired of these records. And the point of this thread was to provide thought on what might come if we pay Dak, the excuses that ensue, then playing the waiting game for something differently to happen since teams are hellbent on sticking with bottlenecks for whatever the reason may be. Not every issue a team faces is something that was uncontrollable. I feel we're in prime position to continue to setup this team for long term success around Dak or any QB really, as long as we continue to build the team around the position. But that window is up in a year and we don't have a ring. And we're going to be forcing ourselves into more struggles if our "average" winner QB gets paid what I think he's going to get paid and more issues arise elsewhere.

A win is a win, doesn't matter how it gets done. Dak wins games, he isn't perfect but isn't fully developed either. He plays hard 100 percent of the time which is better than the 75 percent that you want.

I much rather a guy show up in the 4th quarter to win then a guy who starts well and finishes bad. Romo had clutch moments and didn't make a ton of mistakes but when he did they seemed to always happen at the wrong time. Dak is different, he seems to play his best in clutch moments and make is mistakes earlier in the game. Dak is a franchise QB and the hate, or whatever you want to call it, is mind boggling.

They're not my expectations. But it is reality of what has been. Do I want to ring absolutely who doesn't. But I understand what it takes to achieve that ring. And you have to understand who owns this team. Until we have a head coach you can hire his entire staff I don't ever see that happening. But yet I'm still a Cowboy fan

People that are blaming Prescott are just haters they don't see the real picture of what's happening on this field. What's the youngest starting defense in the league they don't want to expose them like they did in the Rams game. It was Men playing against boys. So what do we do Smash Mouth football and win it at the end. Look what Prescott did to the Giants when they turned him loose the entire game. And please don't say it was a meaningless game because a division game is never meaningless. The Experience alone for the youngest starting team in the league was priceless go Cowboys go Prescott

It is our defense that carries us all of last season, they only gave up 20 points a game last season, Our offense only averaged 21 and if you take away the one game we scored 44 against the Jags and the meaningless last game of the season against the Giants where we scored 36 our offense averaged 18.5 points in the other 14 games. Our offense was not very good last season scoring points either before or after we aquired Cooper...look it up

From the first snap and to the last snap everything else in between is called football. It's what you do when you have the opportunity to win it with the ball in your hands last. And that's when he's at his best go Cowboys

So you don't think Dak was a huge factor in why we missed the playoffs, especially in later games in 2017 and basically allowed the Eagles to march on to their first ring? I don't take anything away from his heart, it's there. But seeing half the game day threads all acknowledging how pathetic is it to barely squeak out a td in what seems like half the games is not much to be proud of. I know it's easy for people to only remember the good and forget the bad, people do that with Brady and Manning literally all the time and for whatever reason it was mostly the opposite with Romo, but Dak has fallen under the protect at all costs barrier. I really don't care why, I just am trying to see if there's an scenario where someone who defends Dak left and right will actually acknowledge a potential better scenario for the team without his presence, and we'll find out very soon how things work out.

It won't matter how Dak plays. The team is currently worse than last season with no upgrades coming, and possibly losing the 8 games of production from Tank to boot.

The defense didn't carry us anywhere. The entire team did their job. If we had scored so quickly they would have been more suspect make no question about that. I definitely want to see more balance on offense

How can you say the team is worse than last season we didn't even draft yet. We haven't made any trades yet. Can we least play a preseason game before you make a comment like that

No I don't think Prescott was a huge failing Factor. In fact we beat the Super Bowl champs twice last season. And we beat them the year they went to the Super Bowl. don't say it was because they rested players
