We had a Super Bowl caliber defense that got wasted by dak. I say cut him and bring in tb12
Tb is completely washed but I’ll take rodgers. He already big brothers us when we play him. Might as well join forces. I think him with defense gets us to the Super Bowl.

You cut Dak and you won't even be able to field a team with all the dead money. Don't think anyone wants a repeat of the Campo years.

Just in general, I suspect that the QB market is going to see an adjustment. Most of these big contracts have become complete albatrosses hurting team quality to the point where teams are eating salary to dump them. It doesn't matter how great Aaron Rodgers is if his salary absolutely prevents you from putting together a quality team.
How many rings would Rodgers have if he was paid at Brady’s level?

why??? just why must we put up stupid crap like this. Name me an NFL player that took a paycut from a guaranteed contract..... not a restructure to help a team deal with the cap, but a straight out pay cut?

Ill wait.
Zeke has offered to do just that. That massive head has a brain in it that is telling him tht his performance does not match his salary. Good move by Zeke.

Dak bet on Dak. And won. It's laughable to think that he'd voluntarily give any money away now that the ride is over. He knows it as well as we do. But blame Jerry. Dak was a bus driver before he snapped his leg, and Jerry still crippled the team with the contract. That's all on Daddy. It was as haphazard and stupid as trying to dump 70 million on Gregory.
I'm saying I think that's what Dak should do. I don't think it's what he will do. It would be awfully hard to give up millions once you've secured it. A lot of us here think we would do that for the good of the team, but who knows what we would actually do in that situation?

But you're right. Jerry should not have agreed to Dak's absurdly overpriced contract. Back during the contract talks, I was screaming that Jerry should draw a line in the sand at 25 mil a year, and let Dak walk if he has to. Now the team is paying the price.

The even worse mistake was to overpay Zeke. Running backs are much easier to replace than quarterbacks.

You want to start winning this fanbase, and frankly, the locker room back?

Take a pay cut so we can keep the guys we have and improve even more on the free agency market.

Most of us are at the point where we would rather just trade you but your value is at an all time low. So we know we’re stuck with you so take a pay cut and prove your accountability!
If he was responsible he would leave and not take any further money. He is a failed project just like Shante Carver, Bobby Carpenter, et al. He needs to go.

I'd take either of them right now, today. It's hard to tell which QB looks more miserable out there, though. You'd think they had a regular job like us regular folks or something.

This is what made Brady a team leader. He knew if he made outrageous money that it wouldn't allow New England to put a competitive team on the field. Brady made just enough to keep him happy, while at the same time allowing New England cap space to sign legit players for their SB runs.

I know it is hard for some.... but I have already said , TWO TIMES, that players dont take pay cuts unless they know they have no leverage. Zeke has no more contractual protections, so of course he is willing to take a pay cut. He knows there is no way in hell he is being brought back, UNLESS he takes a huge pay cut. He absolutely will get cut next year and it is no secret. Dak is not in that situation and thus he will be doing no such thing.

I loved Zeke, but Im not even sure I want him back for a huge pay cut. We couldnt draft a rookie to do what he did this year for a fraction of the cost?

Dak Prescott isn't Sean Lee.
Ya think,
I've seen posted that Dak's endorsements are more than his annual Cowboy's salary.

Maybe he can reduce his yearly take to help the team and keep those large endorsements flowing.
With his level of talent, playing for another team would not generate the kind of endorsements he is getting now.

Dak...."you can do it"....foozeball ref.

The money isn't the problem. The lack of talent Dak has is the problem.
In that case the money is a problem too. Usually you have to earn a big pay raise, Dak never did. He hasn't lived up to the contract he was given either.

He was never going to live up to that contract.

He doesn't have the skills and ability to do it.

You can go back and look at some of us that was posting when he signed that contract and we were saying it then.

Jerry is a fool and Dak isn't good and that's a loser combination.

Well unfortunately the time to hold Daks endorsements hostage was BEFORE he signed his current deal. Going forward, I would make sure ANY future Cowboys QB had a list of Cowboys QB endorsement earnings and then compare that with the next 7 NFL QB endorsement money. I would make it very clear that will be considered and if they dpnt want to l play ball... Id tell them to go play for the Seahawks and watch how much money in endorsement money you get. Cowboys qbs get all that money because they play in Dallas... not because they are Tom Cruise.

Has the AZ QB earned his money? Lamaar Jackson (who is about to get paid) did he earn that money? Josh Allen? what is the level of success needed to "Earn," Big money? Herbert is about to get big money... has he "Earned it?"
