Madden 16 has Claiborne as the 103rd best corner in the league. They are pretty close in accounting for players strength and weaknesses. Even if they are off by a little, being ranked 103rd is no Bueno.

Shutting down OBJ and only giving up 41 yards to Julio Jones isn't going above and beyond? What is "above and beyond" holding them both without a catch? So, he has to be better than Revis and Sherman? Got it.

Carr isn't going to get big money elsewhere - can be resigned for a modest salary.

If we have 10m to spend on an elite corner - Id rather get a proven one in FA than resign Mo.

I dont buy that we have a limited window to win a SB and so should throw common sense out the window and take risks. We've a young team in most positions. Draft a QB in round 1 and we'll we ok when Romo declines. I can see this team being successful beyond Romo. I can see the following happening:

Romo = Bledsoe
Draft QB = Brady.

The dude has been battling injuries his whole career and was asked to play predominately zone coverage which isn't his strength. He absolutely blanketed Odell Beckham Jr. and did a solid job on Julio Jones until they started moving him around. He's given up zero big plays this year.

I've tried to find a ranking from any news source that had him ranked as an average or better corner. What am I missing here? Everything I read says he's junky from news articles, sport analytic web sites, forum threads, and heck even madden. I watch the games and I guess he's doing ok for him but nothing inspiring.

I have seen all three games Just because I don't view him the same way you do doesn't mean I did not. There are some here who " watch all the games" and think randle is good and awesome. There are others who think he's nothing more than a scatback Are they not watching the same game? There are those who watched preseason and touted colemans, lavar Edwards, jack crawfords greatness. Stating that these young group of dlinemen would help w the pressure. I think they are junk. Am I not watching the games. Read the 4th posting on this thread. There are a lot of others who think he's not very good as well. I guess they must not be watching either.

I have provided PFF score, madden score, bleacher report, and my own eye test. All that is used to counter are " you ain't watching" " all that pff and other reports are junk". I just asking for any documented proof from some reliable/ respectable source that would suggest that Claiborne is an average cornerback.

And Claiborne didn't shadow Julio which is why there was only about 3 or 4 plays on Broaddus' breakdown.

Nobody can justify paying big money for 1 good year (provided the next 13 games are good).

No, he did not. How is giving up 41 yards being "killed"? Claiborne isn't Sherman and Revis, he's going to give some yards to Jones. However, stop with the myths. Dude hasn't got shredded, he hasn't given up big plays, give credit where it is due.
