If Parsons wants 30 million per year are you paying him?

So you’d let one of the best players in the NFL walk? Ok Stephen. And his contract won’t destroy the ability to compete for the next 4 or 5 years. I will help the team compete for the next 4 or 5 years.
I don’t know. Paying parsons 30 million is getting crazy. If you could get 2 first round picks would you walk away? At that price you have to think about trading.

I keep hearing this generational talent .They keep running him into 300 plus pound guys on a regular basis and he's going to generationally age in dog years and be wore out.

We can already see the signs of what is happening trade him at the height of his value before he gets paid and turns into the linebacker version of Zeke Elliott.
I like franchising him then possibly trading him at his height.

just one more example of how the dak trolls continue to fail to understand anything about the qb.
Roy, don't look at 2025's Void amount. That's why (coupled with fear that 2022 may be the new norm and $40m we'll likely be spending on CD's option and Duggs FT) that we dont want/cant extend him now.

If you're using the 'restructure' argument for Dak, you need to apply the same criteria for Micah.

No doubt but do we actually believe Jethro and Son will let their biggest star in a generation walk?

Depends on the contract.

Sounds good....BUT...those 15 players are headlined by: Tyler,......Wilson and Gallup. Cap space should be viewed in conjunction with your competitors ability to spend.
The point is it is not impossible to pay both a qb and parsons. it isn't one or the other.

Well yes, but your original point that there is $185m CAP available in 2025 is somewhat overly optimistic.

The fact is every team has to limit the number of elite contracts. The problems start when you give elite contracts to good (but not elite) players and for us it's compounded by paying too many 2nd Contracts, as are strong suit is the draft we should be looking to trade.

The only thing I would contend is Dak is seeing the money. Those cap hits do not reflect what he is getting paid as void years are being used to dilute the cap hit. The NFL is all about cap hits though so the ability to make those cap hits minor is a much bigger deal.

No doubt Dak is full of himself. But the players love him and he is a great leader.

Would you resign him for that amount? I have a feeling thats what he is going to be asking for. Lets also assume he continue to play like he has played up until now.
Why not?????? He's worth more to this club than Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot is.

Dak is a bad one to bring up because he's such a lightning rod. I'm far from a Dak troll. My point is simply that so many fans run around saying we can't sign XYZ player because we have a guy making $40 million per.
No one is hitting the cap for $40 million per. It's simply not true.
I agree that there is a price for Micah. If it becomes absurd then you have to consider trading.

5 years then franchise twice ...... so in 5 years from now if he is still playing at same level give him what he wants.
This franchise should never use the franchise tag again. Sign your best players if you intend on keeping them.

Yes, i will
because Micah would have met same market value ala TJ Watt..and the NFL salary cap will be escalated higher.
