No? I'm asking because I honestly am not sure.
Thank you.Bob Sacamano;2095711 said:I read that Watkins was practicing at both free and strong
I guess Brown is practicing at strong too then
edit: at the OTAs Watkins was at free and Brown was at strong

ESPN has Tyler Everett as the backup SS.adamknite;2095717 said:For what it's worth, NFL.com has Brown as a FS on our depth chart for last year.

Who?

If you can prove to me that it was a charity cruise that had been planned for a year in advance, I might change my opinion. Otherwise it becomes clear looking around the league that few players who are not either injured or involved in contractual disputes miss these.
I wish every player on the team prepared with the intensity of a Zach Thomas, played with the intensity of a Marion Barber, had the leadership of a Michael irvin, had the character of a Roger Staubach, had the stength of a Larry Allen, had the longevity of an Emmitt Smith, and had the other wordly talent of a Deion Sanders.SilverStarCowboy;2095781 said:If Roy Williams had the same mental out-look on the game of football that Zach Thomas has, he would have re-dedicated himself to the film room year after year.
Not really down on Roy for the off-season, but really very high on Zachs' level headed approach to the game and his in depth perception to detail.
If Roy Williams thought more like Zach Thomas, who is arguably the best "X's & O's" player in the NFL, he could be great again.

It'll never happen.
Considering how much weight he has supposedly lost this off season, perhaps he has.SilverStarCowboy;2095797 said:Can you choose to be intense as Barber?
Does one have the ability to choose Character?
Can you determine your God given strength or for that matter, lack thereof?
Is Deon Sanders athletism or Emmitt Smiths logevity a choice one can pick?
I don't think so...not in the least....however, Roy Williams can choose to take a different, better approach mentally.

Again, he was excused by the team for these OTA's.

I would rather hear about Roy Williams watching a ton of film rather than about his losing weight (but that's also good news).
I'm glad if it's true that he's participating today.
I agree that both he and the team need a bounce back season from him.

So I don't see how that statement about 'permission' carries any weight.
Idgit;2095822 said:The choices are excusing the absence, no comment, and expressing disappointment that a particular player did not choose to attend the voluntary OTA. But then we've covered this already.
