Do you have a tail number on Joyner's cruise liner? Maybe we can track the voyage.

:lmao2:

Speaking as someone who recently went on a cruise, if He paid for his family and assuming he has a large family, you can not cancel these cruises last minute there are no refunds. He could be out a very large amount of money if he tried to cancel

I thought he was at FS behind Hamlin and Brown was at SS.

No? I'm asking because I honestly am not sure.

I read that Watkins was practicing at both free and strong

I guess Brown is practicing at strong too then

edit: at the OTAs Watkins was at free and Brown was at strong

Thank you.

Makes sense. More sense than moving 2 players to brand new positions which is the only other solution put forth.

We're too close to screw around. Roy needs a comeback year.

ESPN has Tyler Everett as the backup SS.

Who?

FS (I think) out of Ohio State, we signed him back in January I believe.

Interesting fact: He was born in Canton, Ohio. So if he goes into the hall of fame, he can be a hometown induction. :D

EDIT: dallascowboys.com has him listed as a Cornerback.

"One player, a starter on defense, said that most players assume that "voluntary" OTAs will occur in mid- to late May and plan their schedules accordingly." Plan accordingly. Those are the words that sink in. The other stuff is just Darren Hambrick talk.

If you can prove to me that it was a charity cruise that had been planned for a year in advance, I might change my opinion. Otherwise it becomes clear looking around the league that few players who are not either injured or involved in contractual disputes miss these.

Guilty until proven innocent. That's how we treat the players on our favorite team in these parts!

If Roy Williams had the same mental out-look on the game of football that Zach Thomas has, he would have re-dedicated himself to the film room year after year.

Not really down on Roy for the off-season, but really very high on Zachs' level headed approach to the game and his in depth perception to detail.

If Roy Williams thought more like Zach Thomas, who is arguably the best "X's & O's" player in the NFL, he could be great again.

I wish every player on the team prepared with the intensity of a Zach Thomas, played with the intensity of a Marion Barber, had the leadership of a Michael irvin, had the character of a Roger Staubach, had the stength of a Larry Allen, had the longevity of an Emmitt Smith, and had the other wordly talent of a Deion Sanders.

It'll never happen.

Can you choose to be intense as Barber?

Does one have the ability to choose Character?

Can you determine your God given strength or for that matter, lack thereof?

Is Deon Sanders athletism or Emmitt Smiths logevity a choice one can pick?

I don't think so...not in the least....however, Roy Williams can choose to take a different, better approach mentally.

Considering how much weight he has supposedly lost this off season, perhaps he has.

Again, he was excused by the team for these OTA's.

And again, I would ask what choice the team had?

I would rather hear about Roy Williams watching a ton of film rather than about his losing weight (but that's also good news).

I'm glad if it's true that he's participating today.

I agree that both he and the team need a bounce back season from him.

none, OTAs are voluntary

Bingo!

So I don't see how that statement about 'permission' carries any weight.

The choices are excusing the absence, no comment, and expressing disappointment that a particular player did not choose to attend the voluntary OTA. But then we've covered this already.

And of course, 'no comment' and 'expressing disappointment' aren't very good for business are they?
