I'm not letting this coaching staff off the hook just because we won

Forfeiting 1st downs against 8 and 9 man fronts is getting old.

I'm not sure I follow you here. Dallas had 33 first down snaps today. 16 were pass plays, 17 were runs. If I'm reading you right, you're complaining that Dallas ran the ball too much on first down.

From posters on this site? Absolutely.

And we had to move him around to do it, if Norman had been locked on him all day he would have been lucky to get a catch or 2. Of course its kinda hard when Norman is mugging you all the way down the field. Seems odd since Dez has 25 lbs on him and is stronger.

I was at the game.

We only had two linebackers on the field all day. We played six men in the box all day. It was ridiculous.

That is all.

It was good to see them use a play that was actually giving the defense trouble today with the bootleg but there is still too many problems.

Are we ever going to take advantage of 8 and 9 guys in the box on first down or are we satisfied with just letting them cheat on that play?

Dez completely disappeared again in the 2nd half... Why not give him some quick bubble screens on those first downs where they crowd the box.. He is one broken tackle away from scoring.

We all like the onside kick simply because our defense sucks but I think most of us can acknowledge it wasn't the right thing to do.

I'm happy we won but I still don't like this 50/50 brand of football we played.. Good to see these coaches get a win without Romo. (Against the same team they did it with last year)

Also, I can't help but ask myself why we totally skipped out on defense in free agency when watching these games. Our defense is so bad.
I fully support the onside kick. They saw something on tape. They probably noticed that guy leaves his position before the ball is kicked. If it's a good kick that's an easy successful on side kick. I like the call by JG just a terrible kick

Norman is a good cb. Saying that he has to much contact with the receiver before the ball gets there. He gets away with alot

I am happy as well to see us run a play from time to time that fools the defense.

Dallas should have defenses running in circles with all the dynamics this offense has.
You are totally correct. We have so many weapons that are under utilized. It is astonishing. Imagine what Bellicheck does with these tools!!!!

The Giants and Skins have pretty good corners, probably the best tandems we will see, it will be interesting to see what happens when we play teams that don't have as much talent at CB.

Will they attempt the 8/9 in the box? If they do will we make them pay.

Sometimes this team wins despite the coaching. Usually, its because of Romo. Today, they did it with Dak. That has to be a positive, right?

Normally I'd agree...but this is the same team they beat with Cassell last year...so meh

I didn't mind the onside kick. It's a risk, but also out of the blue and we tried to take advantage.

What can a coach do with this front seven? Seriously. Jerry has hung the D out to dry

It's difficult to imagine seeing more receivers running free, which is hard to fathom when you are not blitzing very much. There were often groups of defenders downfield leaving wide swaths of the field uncovered. Can't argue with our redzone defensive scheme however (33% redzone efficiency and 0 for 2 in goal to go). Although Cousins didn't help himself with poor throws on all those fade routes directed at Clay, our DB's seemed to stay home to a greater degree in the endzone cutting off passing lanes & yielding a really clutch int.

Moving Dez around (finally) and the increase use of slant routes was the offensive scheme highlight, IMO.

I would rather had the offense go for the kill shot instead of just trying to force Washington to use all their timeouts. Without that 10 second penalty runoff, I fear we may have lost yesterday.

blame jerry all you want but he is only taking players marinelli is instructing him to based on who fits his seemingly uber specific defense.
