I SAY:

*Its the GM
*Its the head coach

I don't have confidence that Romo is the real deal for Super Bowl runs, sorry, I just don't at this point. But I don't even make him the biggest explanation for what's wrong.

Jerry's way will get us a lot of TV exposure, but Super Bowls will take a real head coach, and to have one of those the GM will have to just be an owner and be satisfied with that. Sorry, it won't happen.

I agree. JErry said, Mike Singletary was the most impressive interview he had. But he didn't have guts to pull the trigger, instead decided its more important to find a 3-4 DC. ANd if he thought Garrett was the guy, he didn't have the guts either.

Jerry is as bad a GM, especially in selection of HCs as he is a good businessman. I have always said, Jerry the GM as selecting draft is not as bad as JErry the GM selecting HCs. He doesn;t have the guts or instinct to select good HCs. His track records proves that, other than Jimmy Johnson. He was daring with it, since then he stuck with safe or stupid slections.

The Giants didn't stop the run once tonight, not once. But they didn't have to because at key moments in the ball game Garrett did that for them.

He put the ball in the hands of the guy who was having a bad night and took it out of the hands of the men who were dominating. I don't care how many points you rack up that's on the OC.

Really good coaches are able to realize that your QB is having a bad game, and then call plays that play to his strengths in that game and help him out - ESPECIALLY when your backs are gashing their defense.

When your QB has had a jittery game - as they all do from time to time (see Tom Brady today) - you've got to help him out by letting him hand it off a bunch of times...then when the time is right, let him throw a playaction pass downfield.

All in all, though, we just weren't going to win this one:

- tipped ball off Witten's foot
- tipped ball off Ratliff's hand falls directly into the waiting arms of the WR
- bad pass by Eli gets tipped up into the air and a WR sliding in the endzone with our CB on top of him somehow makes the catch
- tipped INT

Just all in all an unlucky game. The ONLY play the Giants really made on their own was their audible in coverage for the interception early in the game -- that was just all out good defense.

Our defense sucked, but they were continually put in bad spots. On a night when we run for over 250 yards, give up zero sacks, and score 31 points, we should NEVER lose. Turnovers are our kryptonite.

And the beat goes on. And meanwhile we forget what made this franchise great.

No playoff win since 1996, that is 13 years ago and counting. Just bad luck huh?

The Cowboys averaged almost 9 yards per carry. The Giants couldn't stop the run at all.

Yet, the Cowboys threw as may passes as they had rushing attempts on a night when Romo stunk.

John Madden always said, when he coached, he'd run a play until the other team proved they could stop it.

This SHOULD have been an ugly win with the Cowboys running the ball twice as much as passing it...

But of course, Garrett got pass happy again.

Yep, the defense blew it when we needed them to step up...BUT really, if the Cowboys were the Steelers, they would have passed the ball 15 times and run it 45.

I had to question the long pass on the third INT as we were running it down their throat, had it at the 50 and were in a position to go ahead by 11 but threw a long pass for no reason.

thank you JJT, after all none of would have remembered 13 years without a playoff win and it has so much relevance to the loss tonight.

Where it has relevance is in the idiotic excuse making for every one of these failures and the refusal to acknowledge what the real problems are.

There isn't a GM in the league that would get 13 years of patience, period.

So my point was, we can go through the whole thing over and over again.... blame Garrett, blame the offensive line, blame the receivers... but its the GM and the head coach and until you get that fixed this team will be what it has been for a long, long, long time.

I think Garrett can't help but still think like a QB (pass first). Run game was there. The OLine was *KILLING* the Giants' DLine. There were HUGE holes opening up.

BUT...what about Martellus Bennett. Is it just me or is he being under used maybe?

Dallas WRs had 4 receptions for 49yds <<==yup, *NOT* a good day. Manningham alone had 10 receptions 150yds (Smith 10rec 134yds)

Live by the pass..die by the pass?

Bottom line is, despite Jerry being GM, he wasn't on the field tonight. They lost as a team. Let's hope we reset and refocus and whip Carolina next week.

yet when he brought in Parcells, people wanted him to step in and tell Bill not to play Bledsoe, called Parcells "boobs", that Jerry was an idiot for hiring him etc

I'm with you. I'll be at the Carolina game, my first at the new stadium. Its another game that SHOULD be a gimme (can I say that again? ;)). I'm sure we will bounce back. Its the very kind of game we usually put up big stats for, for all you stats lovers out there. ;)

I think 9 times out of 10 Romo isnt oing to suck as bad as he did tonight. He always throws one of these types of games in there every now and again.

I didnt have any problem with the playcalling. If Romo had even been average tonight we wouldnt have lost. As it stands he just had a bad night.

Im more worried about the defensive play calling. Our lack of blitzing and inability to put pressure on the QB is making our secondary look pedestrian.

Captain...a degree of intelligence amongst a sea of inequity.

Well done sir!

Remember the long run in the 3rd quarter by Felix Jones. Well the offensive coordinator decided to call a pass play on the next play where the QB through an INT! They couldn't stop the run, yet the OC wouldn't commit to the run.

Wrong

1-10-DAL17(6:05) T.Romo pass incomplete short right to F.Jones. Pass incomplete flat; Boley closest defender.
2-10-DAL17(6:00) F.Jones left tackle to NYG 27 for 56 yards (T.Thomas; C.Webster).
1-10-NYG27(5:15) M.Barber left end pushed ob at NYG 17 for 10 yards (K.Phillips).
1-10-NYG17(4:53) M.Barber left tackle pushed ob at NYG 2 for 15 yards (C.Webster).
1-2-NYG2(4:28) M.Barber up the middle to NYG 3 for -1 yards (M.Kiwanuka).
2-3-NYG3(3:40) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass incomplete short middle to P.Crayton. Pass incomplete on slant.3-3-NYG3(3:35) (Shotgun) T.Romo up the middle for 3 yards, TOUCHDOWN. Romo on a quarterback keeper

The whole Parcells issue was a slippery slope. He turned the Cowboys in a nice sports car and I thank him for that, but he drove it all wrong. Problem is the keys ultimately ended up in the hands of someone else who's driving the car wrong.

Let me get this right. We put up THIRTY ONE FREAKING POINTS tonight, and you think the offensive coordinator didn't do his job?

We put up 31 points with 4 TURNOVERS, 3 by our consistently underwhelming QB in big time situations. And you blame the offensive coordinator?

How about blaming the stupid head coach who couldn't inspire his way out of a wet paper bag. Remember him? Defensive guru?

31 POINTS PUT UP BY AN OFFENSE THAT HAD STINKING QB PLAY TONIGHT.

33 points against us.

Who you blaming?
Not only did the Cowboy offense score 31 points, but they scored a good percentage of the the Giants points IMO.

So I'm going to blame them for consistently putting the giants in good position to score.

Of course none of our 4 turnovers helped our cause tonight, but one in particular cost us the game IMO. We were ahead 24-20 and were driving. We had a first down around the 50 yard line and for some unknown reason, a play is called for Romo to throw a 40-50 yard pass that was intercepted because it was a terrible pass. We were absolutely killing the Giants on the ground and we gave the game away by trying to be cute. They hadn't stopped the run all night (and actually never did), but we had to try something else for some unknown reason. While Romo was terrible, I place the blame on Garrett for calling such a stuipd play. If we had just continued to run the ball and throw short passes, we would be celebrating a Win despite the turnovers.

This.

We had 190 yards rushing to that point, and Romo was 12-24 for 114 yards and 2 INT's. So on first and 10 from the Giants 46, we go deep. ******** play calling.

Yes, it's on Romo not to throw picks, but at some point Garrett's got to help him out when he's struggling.

How does Coughlin protect the Giants from Eli? They run the ball on 1st down, second down, and if it's a short 3rd down, they run it. They never abandon the run unless it's 3rd and long. Even when we continually stuffed the run, they kept running the ball. They converted a bunch of 3rd and 7's in the air though.

We pass on 1st down, run on 2nd, and pass on third down. Then we wear our defense down because we can't sustain drives.....

We have 3 awesome running backs, use them!!!!:bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Had we ran the ball more we would have won this game by 10 or more. When Romo is having an off game we need to protect the team by running the ball, plain and simple.

Garrett and his pass happy offense strikes again...

Wade said at the end of last season we were gonna run the ball more. Did he forget already???
