I think we are. Someone posted in the draft forum that the Cowboys may look to draft a QB high this year within the first 3 rounds.

We are all criticizing Romo today, thats not even an issue.

Im simply saying I still support and believe in him.

Why does it have to be "cut/trade/murder" him when he has a bad game?

Why does saying I still believe in the player mean Im not supporting the team?

Well, I'm certainly not one saying cut/trade/murder Romo.

Also, I don't think I said you can't believe in him. I was responding to mreckid who seem to suggest that those who don't believe in Romo are jumping off the bandwagon. And my response addressed why do we have to be on the Romo bandwagon and NOT the Cowboys bandwagon?

Can't one still criticize Romo and not think he's the quarterback who will lead this team to the Super Bowl and remain on the Cowboys bandwagon?

I think you can.

I'll believe it when I see it. We've only drafted two QB's total in the last 20 years and only one in the first 3 rounds and that was when we reached for Quincy.

What makes it worse is we aren't even going to seriously look for a better replacement. We'll just probably waste 3-4 more years with Romo continually throwing games away while teasing half the fanbase or more into thinking this will finally be the year he puts it altogether.

Sorry to burst the bubble but it's not gonna happen with him, especially with not much of a running game to balance things out. That is if Garrett were even inclined to balance things out.

You would think at some point Jerry would get fed up with being the butt of every Joke from every Media person. There always seems to be something with OHNO ROMO. When TO was here we heard the rumblings in the Locker room, Martyb(not that I like him) complained about OHNO ROMO, we heard after week 1 a defensive player yelled at him. Look where there is smoke there is fire. I know I am sick of this franchise being the butt of every joke because of OHNO ROMO we had 2 of the worst collapses in franchise history in 4 weeks with this DUD at QB

Over the last 4 years how many losses can you put squarely on Romo's shoulders?

Now...

How many wins?

Who cares...all he had to do was NOT **** UP. Instead, he threw 3 picks and handed the lions a win, when they were dominating them on both sides of the ball.

I think you are arguing the wrong point. I doubt anyone is saying Tony Romo is Quincy Carter or any other bad QBs cowboys has since Troy Aikman.

Most are dissappointed he is not an Aikman/Staubach or even close to Danny White yet.

I am not talking about blind Romo haters, but guys like me, who have been on his bandwagon ( well I wasn't originally but regardless I have been on his Bandwagon past 3 years).

Its hard to continue to believe in Romo, eventhough I know, he is the best option right now or for near future, till next draft ( well if Cowboys draft high enough, then we know Romo is not answer anymore unless Cowboys injuries continue to be devastating).

I care. Its not about one or two bad games.

He has us in a position to win EVERY WEEK.

Dude, how did we GET IN THAT POSITION?

you can't have your cake and eat it too

Without Romo's style of play -- without his touch throws and his ability to evade pressure and make calls at the line, and set up protection, WE DON'T HAVE THAT LEAD!!!!!

It didn't just magically appear -- they didn't substitute romo into the 3rd quarter and it all fell apart.

Good lord

That's simply not enough. It's the actual winning that most of us want to see.

Woah, woah, woah...Isn't this where I ***** and moan about our plight, not have to provide hard evidence to back myself up, make outlandish accusations, and offer unrealistic solutions?....'cause I have some favorable things to say about Stephen McGee...

In other words, I have too much blood in my alcohol system right now to defend myself.:drunk:

Ok well then lets cut the entire defense for folding on the last drive and not finishing the game.

Doesnt matter how good they played for 3 quarters right?

The media really pisses me off. One second Tony is a choking goat, the next hes the toughest SOB in the league. Now he's a goat again and they're in the locker room asking the players if they still believe in him. How may other QB's in the league have to deal with that crazy **** week after week?

In fairness, how many quarterbacks have been as up-and-down as Romo?

As I mentioned in the post-game thread, if the media doesn't criticize Romo for his performance this week, they're shirking their responsibilities as journalists.

Their job isn't to find the silver lining or to express total, unquestioned devotion to Tony Romo. They're not paid to be zealous devotees of the Dallas Cowboys.

No that's not what I mean. I mean I want a QB that is able to close out games on a consistent basis. Romo gets the team in position to win games. I get that, and I appreciate that. That's what I like about Romo. But what I want to see from Romo is more consistency in closing out games with a win and less turnovers/mistakes in crucial junctions of the game. He needs to show a better sense of game management and avoid reckless behavior that ultimate sets the team up for failure. We have seen it twice already this season where he failed to close out a game that was won. I'm not even going to talk about past seasons right now. But twice already should send an alarm ringing in someone's ear. I hear the ringing, and I don't think turning up the radio and putting on headphones is going to make it go away.
