Cleveland: They made one horrible mistake signing Deshawn Watson. Otherwise, they have enough talent to be in the playoffs every year. Chicago is in great shape hiring the Lion OC to groom Caleb Williams. The Raider just brought on Tom Brady as a part owner and he will have a big voice in the hiring process going forward. The Panthers overhauled their front office in response to failure, but appears they made an error drafting Bryce Young.

Point is all of these teams have hope for the future.......... except Dallas. We know the Jones cult will continue running things blind to their errors and unwilling to change course even when it's obvious something isn't working. This is the worst franchise b/c it has no real hope for the future. After Jerry, begins the Stephen Jones era which should be a real sh-show.
You have no idea if Ben Johnson in Chicago will be a success or not. Many hot shot OC's have flamed out as a head coach. Give it some time to see if chicago is in "great shape"

You entirely missed the point. Hope is the point. A chicago fan can look to the future and have legitimate reason to hope the team can get a lot better.

I thought SBs were the goal....my bad
The topic is levels of ineptitude. There are many teams that haven't seen a super bowl in awhile. There are not many who haven't even seen a conference title game in as many years as our last appearance in one. So thats worse.

We are the Cleveland Browns of the NFC.

So, what can we do to fix it? Are you part of the protest or revolt? Or, are you just venting?

Super Bowls Yes. But our futility goes back to conference title games. We now have the longest absence from the NFC title game in the NFC.
Well even if you make the narrative "teams that have played in a Superbowl" that's still not a good look for Dallas.

11 of the 14 non cowboy NFC teams have played in a Superbowl in the 2000s. Not only that there's a good chance that at least one more (Vikings, Lions, Commanders) reach the Superbowl in the next 5 years so that's a small list of NFC teams that haven't made the Superbowl let alone conference game.

There are many teams that haven't seen a super bowl in awhile. There are not many who haven't even seen a conference title game in as many years as our last appearance in one.
Correct. 14 out of 14 of the NFC opponents have all made conference game in the 2000s and 11 of those 14 have played in the Superbowl.

I'm just stating a fact. I'm not trying to vent or solve a problem. Someone tried to make it sound we were "on par" with the 10 teams who haven't been to a super bowl in longer than us. ( we currently have the 11th longest drought) I'm simply saying that is misleading and our futility is much worse than simply missing super bowls.

The Cowboys still aren’t in the top 5 worst *right now* and haven’t been since the Campo years.
I think they might just be. Longest championship game drought in the last thirty years. If you’re going all time then Cowboys are top five franchise. Last thirty years means we might very well be the worst!

Bills and ravens can't get it done it the playoffs, just like Dallas. That's all. Trending ahead was probably poor wording.
Gotcha. I was thinking in terms of success over the last decade or so in which I would disagree with you, but I won't haggle with your assessment.

If you’re going by 30 years or any other number, you’re essentially just cherry picking a starting data point to get the conclusion you want.

on alot things i would agree this is everyones favorite tactic, but in this case it was a very clear shift in the FO, why would you start in the middle of it...if your judging this FO in its structure when would you say they started?

If we arent one of the bottom 5 over the last 29 years we are definitely hanging around the rim.

we are and there is no way around it, if the goal of the FO is to win a championship this FO has failed for 29 years, there is no other way to put it.

Not sure I agree we're top five, but I do think going from five super bowl wins in thirty years to just four playoff wins in that same amount of time is a good argument for us at five.

Very curious to see what people think and where Dallas fits.

In no order the 5 worst franchises, and I base this on the lack of postseason success are:

Cleveland
Chicago
Raiders
Panthers
Cowboys

NYG and Jacksonville are right there. Washington, Detroit and Buffalo have graduated.

What do you guys think?

lack of post season success and you have Dallas? Do you just mean in the last 10 years or as a franchise because that's a joke.

Lions have graduated to what? What postseason success have they had as a franchise? Best record in NFC and lost their 1st game.

Didn’t the Lions lose in the NFC Championship last year. A bounce or 2 and they are in the SB last year. This year their defense was decimated by injury.
