Inside Texas reported that Alabama head coach Nick Saban will be announced as Longhorns coach

Has nothing to do with scared. I think dominating the SEC recruit wise and riding roughshot over them are probably over for Alabama. I mean, it happens. We've watched it happen with Texas and Mack. Saban isn't stupid and for that reason, I do believe he's looking at Texas.

Oh, ok, it sounds like you are saying that because the SEC is getting stronger, and he can't dominate any longer, that he wants out of the SEC.

I think it's driving the process for sure. I mean, if the Texas offer weren't there, I think Saban would stay at Alabama and keep on keepen on but because Texas is interested, I think he's strongly considering it. Sexton wants him to consider it IMO. It would be more money, would likely be a share of LHN and would be an easier conference to win in. Put all of that together with a possibility of a NC at a 3rd school, something nobody has ever done, and I think that is pretty much driving this whole thing.

I still don't think it will be Saban but this is what I suspect is going on.

How about Shanahan to Texas? His son played college ball there and he obviously won't be in DC much longer. Yes, I am just kidding.

There are a lot of rumors going around about the Texas job. ESPN had on their rumor page that Jim Harbough or Mike Tomlin might be in play for the Texas job. I find that very hard to believe especially Harbough since he has a young team and good chance to win the SB.

LOL LOL !!

Perfect!

Saban is just scared to open the season next year against the Mighty Mountaineers !

lol If he stays at Alabama maybe he will call the dogs off early vs the Mountaineers as a sign of pride in his heritage or something.

I think Saban to Texas has been in the works a while now.
And when announced will be the biggest coaching deal in NCAA football history by a mile.

UT has the best situation in college football.
The Big 12 is set up to cater to them and they are set up to own the state of Texas plus pull in 5 star recruits when they feel a need.
They have more money than anyone and more power than anyone.

The fact they can even utter Saban's name much less have serious discussions with his agent after years of 8-4 says all you need to know.

John has said that he might be interested in the Job but I have heard nothing at all on Jim being interested. In fact, when USC approached Jim, earlier this year, he emphatically stated that he was not interested in USC. I'm having a hard time believing Jim is the Harbough that is interested in a College Job.

You are correct, was John in the rumors.

John had stated, I believe through his agent, that at the end of the season, he might be interested in USC, Michigan and Texas.

Isn't that what I just said? Maybe the word rumor through ya off, but the above is a fact, or the best it can be through his agent. I haven't heard it from John's mouth yet.

Interestingly enough, Saban is in Texas today. Reportedly on a recruiting visit. Here is a pic of him. Notice the guy driving. That, if I am not mistaken, is Joe

What I understood you to ask was if John was in the rumors. The post, as I understand it, is about Jim. I was simply trying to confirm to you that it was John who had been reported to be interested in the Texas job, not Jim.
