I told yas weeks ago that Saban's wife got caught house shopping in the Austin area :)

Look out... Texas is about to start kickin' some people's brown eye's! Recruits will be flocking to Texas and his pro style offense will maul opponents.

*Cliff Kingsbury just dropped a deuce in his manties.
*It was fun while it lasted Baylor!
*Stoops is on a three day bender.
*Okie State ... see Baylor!
*Kansas State... go back to sleep.

I heard a guy on ESPN say the only way Saban would be coaching a game in Austin is if Alabama was playing Texas. I laughed because I can't see either program putting the other on their non-conference schedule.

Some latest "unconfirmed" info.......Saban and his wife purchased a 10,000 sqft home in Austin for "investment property".

M. Brown is expected to step down Friday night at the annual UT football banquet.

This last part is very interesting.........Bob McNair was in Austin at the same time Saban was but there are no rumors of them being together. Some people speculate that Saban will indeed leave Alabama and it will not lead to Texas, the University that is. This whole scenario seems far-fetched.

Anyways, this is almost as exciting as tracking Jerry's plane pre-draft!

There is going to be some major egg on the face if he ends up at UT. McCarron saying he'll stay at Bama. Some friend of his saying he would NEVER coach at Texas.

At this point nothing would surprise me.

I think most articles I've read think Texas will win in a battle of the bucks but there are so many out there that it's becoming a hard story to follow.

Mack's interviews remind me somewhat of Jerry. He says a lot but much of it is hot air.

I am about 99% sure Brown is gone.
I think Powers found out backing Brown was going to lead to early retirement and opted to take advisement on football matters.

I expect Brown is done this weekend.

With the hottest names other than Saban all seemingly having gotten rich extensions it seems to me as if Saban is gone.

People seem to think because Alabama has a perennial champ caliber team Saban wouldn't leave.
That's hilarious because he built a power at MSU then left for LSU. Built a powerhouse at LSU then left.
When he went to Bama it was no better than UT is right now.

It took him all of 2 years to turn that around and his very first class produced a handful of NFL players.

A UT program in the top 10 every year is the most powerful program in football.
Easily surpassing what Alabama can do even as they live in the top 5.

And maybe people don't pay attention but UT is loaded with star recruits.
And that team started winning games when it ran a pro style offense like Saban likes.

I work next office over to Raulerson's mom. They are actually worried about this mightily.
Brown recruited her kid and they are worried about coaching changes shaking up the program.
But they do love that all of Saban's recent Centers have gone pro.

mack won't step down tonight cause he wants tonight to be about the kids, he will do it tomorrow. I have no idea what to believe about saban but I'm more confident in mack being gone than getting saban but the rest of the candidate list is pretty strong and as fans we will all get on board i'm sure no matter who we get (out of the mentioned guys I'm sure we would explode if kiffen were hired lol)

Saban has a much easier path to the playoffs At UT,all he needs to do is play some good defense.

Actually I think that Alabama would be willing to match Texas- they have the money. We are not talking $100 million dollar contracts here even at the top end. $10 million a year is quite manageable and I doubt it would go any higher.

I don't have anything to base this opinion on but I would think there is more money at UT than UA.

He'll get whatever he wants no matter what. And he deserves it.. His teams deliver.

I was listening to Dan Le Batard and Stugotz yesterday and they said something interesting. They were talking about Urban Meyer and they said that he was for sure thinking about the Texas job. Now, I had not heard that he was even spoken to about the Job but they were talking like he was, in fact, very interested in it.

First I had heard anything about that.

The POINT is that Alabama can afford to match what texas will offer. Get it? Like I said We ARE NOT TALKING $100 million a year.

I don't believe that this true. Not even a little bit true. Alabama can not afford to offer what Texas can. The question is, how much does Texas want to offer because nobody can match them if they really want to go all in.
