Looks like he is in my Suburban.
I told yas weeks ago that Saban's wife got caught house shopping in the Austin area
Looks like he is in my Suburban.
There is going to be some major egg on the face if he ends up at UT. McCarron saying he'll stay at Bama. Some friend of his saying he would NEVER coach at Texas.
At this point nothing would surprise me.
don't they know Saban's history? lol
Some latest "unconfirmed" info.......Saban and his wife purchased a 10,000 sqft home in Austin for "investment property".
M. Brown is expected to step down Friday night at the annual UT football banquet.
This last part is very interesting.........Bob McNair was in Austin at the same time Saban was but there are no rumors of them being together. Some people speculate that Saban will indeed leave Alabama and it will not lead to Texas, the University that is. This whole scenario seems far-fetched.
Anyways, this is almost as exciting as tracking Jerry's plane pre-draft!
I think most articles I've read think Texas will win in a battle of the bucks but there are so many out there that it's becoming a hard story to follow.
Mack's interviews remind me somewhat of Jerry. He says a lot but much of it is hot air.
Actually I think that Alabama would be willing to match Texas- they have the money. We are not talking $100 million dollar contracts here even at the top end. $10 million a year is quite manageable and I doubt it would go any higher.
I don't have anything to base this opinion on but I would think there is more money at UT than UA.
He'll get whatever he wants no matter what. And he deserves it.. His teams deliver.
The POINT is that Alabama can afford to match what texas will offer. Get it? Like I said We ARE NOT TALKING $100 million a year.
I was listening to Dan Le Batard and Stugotz yesterday and they said something interesting. They were talking about Urban Meyer and they said that he was for sure thinking about the Texas job. Now, I had not heard that he was even spoken to about the Job but they were talking like he was, in fact, very interested in it.
First I had heard anything about that.
