it was a really bad decision by the QB. Anything after that can be argued, did CD do this or that, etc.. but there is no arguing it was a bad decsion. The smart play was pollard out of the backfield, he might of even scored with the way he runs in the open field. The last thing you do there is throw over the middle with 2 deep safeties.. that should be have been a pre snap read and which CD prob did and thought no good QB would throw that ball... forgot who his QB was for a minute.

How many times does this has to be explained? I'm not explaining it again, go listen to the explanation Isaiah Stanback gave in the video above .

How many times do we have to say it wasn't a good decision? No matter whether CD played a role or not. We have all watched the same videos. Didn't Moose also follow up that he didn't understand the aggressiveness there? So, when you say he said it was on CD it is true he did lay some blame on CD .... but I think he also implicated the decision making in his other comments.

Most people seem to be satisfied that multiple things may have been in play and can let it go at that. Why is it so important to you that all the blame is on CD?

My commentary lines up with a former qb and former wr on this . NICK Saban also called Garrett a good coach. I guess his commentary on football doesn't matter...lol
Yea too bad the rest of the NFL doesnt line up with it

Dude didnt even get another HC offer! :lmao2:

Yes, but your QB is not supposed to lead you into them!

Did he lead him though? He put the pass where it was supposed to be. If Ceedee runs his route correctly what makes you think that wouldn't create another angle in which the Db has to hesitate?

Lamb knows where he has to be , he knows he has to cross the safeties face on the route. He's look upfield at the safety. His laziness allowed the safety to make that jump on the ball.
You act like the safety stood stationary and waited for the ball to come to him and Lamb's route was taking him behind the safety the whole way.

That's simply not the case. Lamb's route was taking him well in front of the safety, but the safety was in perfect position, saw the play the whole way and came up hard and moved in front of Lamb's route. The safety saw the whole thing play out straight on - he could see Dak the whole way, he could see Lamb the whole way, he could see where Dak was looking and see the pass immediately as it was released from Dak's hand.

Look where the safety was as Dak released the ball ... he was about a foot short of the 49 yard line. At the time Lamb was still 8 yards away, but the safety had already started sprinting forward and ended up intercepting the pass at about the 44-45, which means he was able to come up about 5 yards to jump the route to make the pick.

even if he makes this throw does lamb not get killed on the reception here? Dak never does CeeDee justice throwing in the middle of the field and is giving his player up for a big hit calling it "greedy" - i see it happen way too much last game it was in triple coverage and lambs head almost got taken off AB style

Maybe not at the level you coach. But among professionals you see Wrs adapting routes all the time.
Look at the video. Lamb slows down at the 40. If he doesn’t slow down that ball is open him. That interception is on Lamb. He’s a very good receiver but I haven’t seen anything that says he is great (yet).

Also, I think Dak is good and sometimes very good and sometimes bad. To me, his ceiling is “very good” and with a very good running game and a very good defense, we could easily win a Super Bowl (though it would be a dog fight with the Bills or Chiefs and we would have to be very good on O, D and special teams that night).

Strum is wrong here, Lamb ran a trash route. No way do you stop your route or give up on your route at any point in play as a wr. No way, the Qb is expecting you there and the ball is out before you suppose to get there
Isiah Stanback a former qb and Wr. Talks about it
I think he stopped a route a couple games ago too...

Dude does NOT fight for that ball. GRRRRR!

No what I'm sayin is different angles are form on the field. Who's to say the safety doesn't continue on the same path if ceedee crosses his face.

As someone who does not have a pro/anti-Dak agenda, I can easily say this was caused by two things ..

1) Lamb altered his route after his cut and if you look, Dak had already released the ball before Lamb altered his route so it was Lamb's fault.
2) It was not a smart throw to make so despite it not being his fault for the interception, Dak should not have made that throw.

I agree here. Looking at it again, it seems that Lamb changed his route and it seems like he wasn't expecting the ball to come his way. Prescott should also not have thrown that pass. It should have been a check off pass to the TE.

Coaches need to tell Prescott not to do anything stupid. Like throw and INT. But Prescott should know that by now.

One thing to note is that Lamb doesn't go after the ball like top receivers do. That is a mental issue on his part and needs to be fixed.

He may miss Ceedee while thinking he has a clear path to the ball.

And that's coming from the guys in the video who watched the film, who thinks it's possibly a td or a 60 yard run at least

CeeDee didn't have a chance to do that. Because the safety saw the play they whole way and started sprinting forward just as Dak was throwing and just after CeeDee made his cut he was able to beat CeeDee to the spot.
