idk, just seems like a waste of time when the running game is good enough

When you are satisfied mediocrity that's what you get.

Ummm...you had me fooled I thought you set your Goals higher than that. ;)

ok, who is this back then?

He is already on the roster.

You apparently lost the point.

Barber should be starting.

We can get another back to split the carries with and that back can do more than squander carries left and right because he cannot hit the right hole.

Some people aren't happy with mediocrity. Some are.

we're the 10th ranked rushing team in the league

and Indy and New England, since you're calling that we should have drafted Addai and Maroney, average less yards per carry, and less yards on the ground than we do

again, our system is working, risking taking away a pick that could be used on another position of need, for a player that may, or may not, prove to be a better option to help us is foolish, JMO

I'd spend a 2nd day pick on that back, whoever that may be

I just don't want to spend picks where we really dont' have to

we don't spend a pick another pick on a RB, and BP can afford to use a coveted pick on a player such as a Devin Hester

That's 5 spots away from mediocrity.

Joseph Addai is a better back than Julius.

Our system is working. It's slightly above mediocre thanks to Barber, who is picking up Julius's slack.

it's better than the rushing game Addai and Maroney are apart of

not by much, less than a yard per carry, and 4 TDs

note: MBIII takes all Julius' carries away when we're near the goalline

it's still better than any situation you can configure working

:laugh2:

This is the type of mentality that ruins drafts.

Hester is a special player and a unique case.

We already tried to get ourselves a specialist via the draft and reached for Skyler Green.

I would prefer not "saving" draft choices for players not likely to make an impact.

it's the same percentage of failing and succeeding w/ any draft pick, including the RB you're so sure is a better alternative than Julius, we can be more flexible in the draft if we don't have that many needs, is all I'm saying

still haven't caught that RB's name yet though

what we have is working, but if you want to spend another pick on a RB

buy a team or something
It is? Certainly not because of Jones but in spite of him.

Take the last game for instance, Jones averaged 2 yrds a carry, Barber 6.2 That isn't an anomaly either, take a look at the last 9 weeks, and you could see why we could do much better than JJ...

Jones has averaged 3.9 yrds a carry and 2 tds as for Barber 5.5 yrds with 10 tds.

You let me know again how it is working. I see one back working the other one collecting a paycheck for running into his lineman...

could the running game be better? yes

just because it's a back other than Julius doesn't make it so though

btw, who the hell is this back anyways that is going to make our running game better?

Why do you continue to ask this question like it validates anything you have to say?

The evidence cannot be refuted. Jones is not producing. End of story.

We could pair Barber with a healthy Tyson Thompson and undoubtedly replicate what Jones is doing now. We could draft any of the top 10-15 backs in the upcoming draft, plug them in and get under four yards a carry out of them.

Feature Barber get another back to plod along for 3.9 yrds a carry and run into the back of his blockers, they are a dime a dozen.
