Is Cobb an upgrade over Beasley?

“His legs are dead,” an AFC personnel man said earlier in the month. “He doesn’t have the quickness or the explosion that he once had. He could still catch 40 or 50 (passes).”

Oh, woe is us that we would only get 50 catches from our Slot WR when Beasley averaged 45 catches a season for his career.

His last contract was 40 Million for 4 years and we are getting for 5, I'm fine with one last season of 50 catches that is nothing like his career highs.

I'd like to see a breakdown of his route running, how is he with routes?

He is supposed to be a very good route runner. I'm not sure how you would measure that against Beasley's route running, which obviously was very good. Rodgers praised him as a guy who gets open consistently from the slot.

:yourock::yourock::yourock:good moves

He's slower than Witten, no he's not, he's a great route runner, so what, he's washed up, he's cheap, he's Hurn's money, 1 year, he's a great addition, he's a Beasly replacement, he sucks worse than Beasly, no he doesn't and so on and so on...
Ok so what's the down side :popcorn::popcorn:

I think Beaz is a better player than Cobb, but Cobb is also playing for half as much as him.

Everyone on espn and fox sports talk shows are saying the boys upgraded with the pickup and I agree, I think he is better than the rapper.

Ok, well that's good

That would be dependent on health. Lee was a great LB a top 10. But at times he wasn't even a top 50.

One year deal for less money is a good deal, if he's not expected to play as much as he did in GB.

I'm not going to pretend like I watched Cobb's recent tape, but the guys that have watched both since us bringing him in are saying Cobb is a sizable downgrade from Beasley.

So your answer is no

I've watched most Green Bay games the past several years because my girlfriend is a GB fan (She knows Bart Starr personally and he brought her a signed football when he came to Dallas on business several years ago).

At their peaks Cobb was better than Beasley by a large margin.

Cobb is a year younger but had injury issues last season and only played 9 games. He didn't show the same speed/quickness last year as in the past; however, he originally was so quick that even after losing some quickness he was still quick enough.

I agree that at their peak Cobb was the better player. It's unfortunate that Cobb peaked so quickly, while Beasley developed later on.

Beasley is the better player currently by a comfortable margin though is what is being relayed.

Cobb is younger (believe it or not) at 28, and has better career stats. Beas avg. 3.1 receptions for 31 yards a game for his career. Cobb avg 4.4 for 52 yds per game. Cobb did have a better QB, lol.

I think the difference is more of where they are at now. Beaz is the same guy that Beaz has always been, whereas Cobb is looking pretty washed after a bunch of injuries.

Hopefully Cobb is healty and can showcase what he once was, just look at Derrick Rose he is now healty and playing pretty good ball now.
